Off to Brussels for the weekend at the end of February. Should be a giggle.

Love Brussels! Last time we had a couple of great nights at Cafe Manneke Pis, as bar right across from the Manneke Pis status (the little pissing kid). It's sort of a small international bar. One night we ended up partying with a bunch of fucking crazy Italians and ended up dancing on the tables. The next night at the same bar we spent the entire night introducing a group of American guys to Scotch (not the drink for Belgium, I know) and having all sorts of insane deep and ridiculous discussions with them until the place closed up. Really, you can end up in anything there. I like it.

The barkeeper knew the city I'm from. First thing he told me when he heard where I was from was how to get from the central trainstation (in my city) to the red light district. Apparently he knew it by heart.

And obviously, GREAT BEER. Find "The Beer Temple" and load up on it there.

Eat lots of poutine. I miss it so much :(

I just googled that. It sounds heart-attackingly delicious.

The first time I've ever witnessed someone deep frying a hamburger was in Brussels...it was one of the oddest experiences of my life....typically, when you grill a hamburger, they tend to shrink in size as the fat is burned out of them....well, when you deep fry them, they blow up to 3 times their size!....lol.......talk about a heart attack on a plate.......

Well... As much as they'll deny it, the Belgians are basically a mixture of spare-Dutch and spare-French put together. So I think this applies:

"Dutch people have 3 very specific ways of preparing food/vegetables. Dutch people like to either:

a) mash the hell out of something,

b) boil the shit out of something, or

c) deep-fry the life out of something!"

Just got back from Thailand. White sand beaches, cocktails and heatstroke.

ping pong shows, adult massages, beautiful ladyboy hookers shopping for deadly drunk tourists. just got back from there too

I didn't leave the resort. I was all about the cocktails. Daiquiri, Tom Collins, mandarin Sunrises for 4 days until I got sunstroke. I went to Kamala once for a massaman curry. I had a pedicure and foot massage in the resort.

Please post all about Prague. I miss it, and I want to live vicariously.

There's this porn site about picking up Czech girls on the street with some bullshit story (and fucking them). Maybe you can live vicariously through that?

Those are my personal videos from my year there.

Living and working as a volcanologist in the city of Colima, Colima State, Western Mexico. Not really had much time for the internets, but I've just moved into a beautiful new pad with WiFi, so I'll be back on the forum from now. A whole lot of them have gone up the volcano for the weekend to scramble about avoiding hot falling rocks etc. I drew the short straw, I'm one of the couple left behind in the lab reviewing video footage of previous trips to the volcano.
