Powerage5
John Oliver will be drinking Bud after all. That was only if Budweiser pulled their sponsorship.
Georgy Zhukov
Which they should in light of what has happened. Same with Coca-Cola. They can't have FIFA tarnish their name.
AtariLegend
Doubt they'd really look at like that and even if they did, they'd re-sponser at the next world cup.Still no way England gets to host a world cup in the next decade no matter how much the media cry. Georgy Zhukov
FIFA and corruption go hand in hand. This Qatar thing has already gone too far. They are predicting at least 4,000 migrant fatalities before completion of the stadiums.
downzy
There might be a chance that the 2018 and the 2022 World Cups get pulled from Russia and Qatar:http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/06/02/usa-1-fifa-0-sepp-blatter-quits-as-the-most-powerful-man-in-sports.htmlProbably a long shot, especially for the 2018 World Cup since it's only three years away, but hopefully changes are coming. I feel there's a bit of a sadistic choice to be made regarding the Qatar World Cup. On one hand, they should never have been given the green light to host it, it's a grossly irresponsible move from a sporting, political and most of all environmental perspective and the sooner that the whole immoral operation is brought to a halt, the better (then those migrant workers who're having their passports withheld might be able to go home). But, at the same time, think of all the people who have died so far, to stop it means that all their deaths were meaningless. Horrible state of affairs. Horrible state of affairs.Yeah, but do we risk another 3000-4000 lives because a 1000 have already died? I agree that it would be a shame for the people who have already lost their lives, but if moving the World Cup from Qatar means it saves thousands of lives going forward, not sure if there's any other real choice. Georgy Zhukov
Most likely those stadiums won't be used for games anymore, just like the ones built in Brazil.
wasted
So what has Blatter done? Is it just how they are trying to globalise football and favouring new places to host World Cups.
DieselDaisy
Money laundering and embezzlement.
netcat
Mr Blatter should be elected to the president's post of Russian Football Union. People with good corruption skills are sincerely welcomed there
wasted
So not football related just a weirdo. Never really understand Berlesconi type guys. Maybe it's like dictators, they know they are going down so just kick out the jams.
Facekicker
They'll pull the Russia one and keep Qatar. Qatar is a major donator to the Clinton Foundation. This goes far beyond football.
