Pretty much every show I've ever been to. Not a big deal or anything, just thinking out loud.

For sure i'm just curious! I have seen like curtains and things in front of bands backdrops at smaller arena and theater shows that the opener usually plays in front of, but at stadium gigs I think its probably too much of a hassle most of the time.

Bitching?!

Just been to see AxlDc at a stadium with no chairs. Great concert. Chairs not required. (never seen a chair at any previous rock/metal gig) chairs not required.

Sure it will be a great gig and everyone will enjoy themselves though.

Not that you in particular were bitching but it's been explained to death a thousand times (first when tickets went on sale and seat maps were seen, then again now in each subsequent show thread). Many threads keep getting turned into a discussion on why stadiums in North America.

I really don't see the point in paying for VIP and then getting put clear at the back of the floor. Am I missing something?

I believe that specific area has a port-o-potty, and maybe a bar..? I think its raised too with the objective of being able to see over the crowd. I think its a come and go sort of thing. You pay for that and you get a seat in the first few rows of the seated section

I think the point of it is to elevate those on it (that's why the Civil War package in particular is on a riser). Be above the crowd on the floor and there's usually a bar on top (although I'm not sure if that was a perk in this case). I've seen this set-up at concerts before, usually outdoor ones, and it's never right at the back - generally about midway. It makes sense for outdoor GA shows for those who want a guaranteed good spot without arriving early. Seems utterly pointless in this case though because for cheaper someone could have gotten the Jungle VIP package which puts you closer to the action.
