He got to perform with Elton. And Queen. At the same time. Go Axl! 2 1

We love Axl Rose
April 30, 1988 - Danville, IL Notes: This show was one of the first "headlining" tours outside of the West Coast in Danville, IL, which is a brief drive from Layfayette, IN, where Axl & Izzy grew up. The encore of "Patience" was done as an instrumental since Axl never came back out on stage (apparently due to technical difficulties during "Paradise City"). Setlist: 01. It's So Easy 02. Move to the City 03. Mr. Brownstone 04. Out Ta Get Me 05. My Michelle 06. Rocket Queen 07. Knockin' On Heaven's Door 08. Welcome to the Jungle 09. Sweet Child O'Mine 10. Nightrain 11. You're Crazy Slash Guitar Solo 12. Paradise City 13. Patience (Instrumental) Edited April 30, 2023 by We love Axl Rose
We love Axl Rose
(The post from May 1st was posted, but it was then deleted due to problems with the forum) May 1, 1986 - The Central - Hollywood, CA Notes: This is an acoustic set, without Steven! The band was asked to play this show at the last-minute. Axl mentions that it this is the first time they've performed 'Don't Cry' acoustically. May 1, 1988 - Toledo, OH Notes: GN'R are headlining this show. Axl mentions that his parents came to the show in Illinois the night before (4.30) and that they are still trying to tell him what to do. Before 'Patience,' Axl says that the band is still deciding if they will put it on their upcoming EP or if they will save it for the next record.
