Val22 Posted August 31, 2015 Share Posted August 31, 2015 This happened over the weekend in a city in Texas.The police office was in a gas station filling up his police car when a black man came up and shot him.Why isn't this considered a hate crime?The police caught the guy but he's not talking.If it was a white guy who shot a black cop it would be called a hate/racist crime, why not the other way around? Somebody fill me in.no one knows motive, the cop was pumping gas into his cop car and was shot in the back of the head, when he was on the ground the suspect emptied the 14 shot magazine into him. That's why a killing by a police officer holds more weight and is covered more.It doesn't make it any less of a tragedy of course and every killing is just as saddening, but there's the answers to your questions. Why in the world would white people be outraged by a black person killing a white cop? They don't have anything to stand for, they aren't fighting against a history of oppression by black people, they don't have a reason to be upset in a unified manner.
