Uh...that "broad" is one of the best rock guitarists around nowadays. Think what you want about her, but she can play laps around almost anyone else out there right now.

This. It's honestly pretty disappointing and disheartening to see that in 2015 people would automatically dismiss and oppose someone's inclusion in GnR based on gender. Orianthi seems to have far better things to do than to join Axl's band, but if she were there she'd do an amazing job.

Eh, if Orianthi joining means altered solos for some of the CD material then so be it. I guess DJ "altering" solos has people a bit scared.

If this turns out to be true, I think it would definitely be a positive thing for the band. Axl's kinda been able to way out of the spotlight
these last few years, this will shift GnR, at least momentarily, into the public consciousness. That's something I don't think that happens if
he signs an unknown or lower profile player, where it would just be business as usual ( and yeah a male player, unless it was a big name,
which at this point is very unlikely ). This gives the band some vitality. Whether Axl actually does anything with it is up in the air but it should be interesting either way.

A guy with a Bucket on his head who never speaks and needs chickens and hardcore porn to get creative, a guy who plays dial up modem style, a guy who wears bin bags and plays as wild as a fucking berserker, a guy who is clearly a Slash wannabe just lacking the dedication and chilled presence and tries to bribe you to purchase bizarre jack skellington rip off swag, a guy who looks like Izzy Stradlin and Trent Reznor's grown up love child... well this would be another intriguing addition, all except Ashba have had commendable skills, so as long as she's a little higher up the geetahr scale than DJ I wouldn't mind.

She is a great guitarist no doubt, but I do not think that she or any other hired hand can spark up uncle Axl to new heights - meaning new stuff, new album, new approach. If true, it is just another part of the hired hand saga of nu-GnR.

Get Duff there for good, he has the credentials to challenge and question Axl and drive the band forward if he would be there for good. The same with Izzy, if he would have the motivation to do it and Slash, if Axl and Slash could just kiss and make-up.

So it just a new guitarist, woppi-dooo! And still eons worse than the first nu-GnR guitarist Buckethead. It's been all down hill since the Buckethead/Finck combo.

This would actually be perfect. I don't know for the long term, but as a short term boost to both of their careers, it would be great.

There's no better or bigger band for her to join. She'd get a huge boost from joining GNR.

And her being a member would get big press and interest a lot of people.

On her own, she's on the decline. She came out and got huge recognition for the Michael Jackson movie. I thought she was special and would go on to be a big name. But since then, she's never been able to live up to that superstar potential etc. On her own, it won't happen.

But with GNR.........that would be huge for her. And the band.

It's weird. I think the presence of each, in the other's lives etc, would have a huge exponentially magnifying effect that neither can or have on their own, individually. GNR doesn't need her........they're fine on their own. But, adding her would have huge effects (effects she hasn't had on others in her own career either). And she doesn't need GNR, but I can't think of a better band/situation for her to be in etc.

I don't know her writing abilities etc, but she's hot and can play. If she could write and there was chemistry there, and she was motivated, it could be the refreshment that Axl needs and would motivate him. I could see releasing an album with her. One album at least. One freshly written album. Save the CD era stuff for later and record and release a fresh and modern album with her now. This would actually make it worth it to release an album. Because it would be very relevant just because of her involvement. The press would go wild over it and it would attract a lot of new audience. No doubt. You could sell this album.

But I think it is a great temporary boost. But not a long term thing. But it is very edgy and would shake things up. I'd go for it if I were Axl......but only if the chemistry was there. It's almost perfect.

I agree about wrapping up the band if it just continues as a nostalgia act. Maybe take a 10 year break from touring at least.

But adding another guitarist that brings real chemistry and shock value would bring new life to this band, even if new music is released or not.

There are 3 options I see. Bringing Buckethead back and bringing that plan/dream/original fire and intention back to life. That would be awesome.

Second option is bringing this Orianthi chick. It would have a huge effect.

Third option is a reunion.

But continuing the band as is.................I don't even want to hear an album from this lineup. And touring......is boring. The shows are fantastic and I love them but it's not exciting for me outside a live venue anymore. Axl doesn't even sing the songs that I want. If he sang the CD rarities he attempted earlier and added a few rarities from the old catalogue, I'd be very interested. But this constant AFD and basic Illusion songs..... It's old.

Exactly, if Axl only continued his New vision he had since he began with the new GN'R and would have released 1 or 2 more albums in that time things would be different now and This band would have a lot more credit and could kinda differ itself from the Classic GN'R and would do fine with just playing Jungle, SCOM, Paradise City, YCBM, Heavens Door and November Rain on live shows the rest then could have been music they released with the new band if it would be 2 or 3 albums but unfortunatly thats not the case here
