Powerage5
Also hoping to see Slash, and Rush considering they all have albums or rumored US tours this yearSlash is a definite!I'd probably do a RUSH tour this year..missed the last one.You missed a great Rush show. Moving Pictures was incredible, and there were some really nice surprises like Time Stand Still, Marathon, and Presto (Never played live before 2010!)I was so happy to see Marathon in the set. That's always been one of my favorites. To date I've seen Rush four times, and yes, the Time Machine tour was amazing (and the Blu Ray equally so). I love how in the liner notes Geddy admits he messed up during the solo section of Presto so they scooped it from another show. You also gotta love the intro/outro videos, which are probably the funniest they've done yet.Yea, Marathon may very well be my favorite Rush song I've seen live to date. The bang always got me to jump, even after seeing it 4 times, it was just absolutely deafening. I had really forgot about the 80's albums for a while and after seeing some more of them live the last 2 years I went back and really rediscovered my love for the 80's albums. Graeme
Saw Bela Fleck and The Flecktones tonight, doing two sets, one of their own superb virtuoso material and then a completely unique one-off set of traditional Scottish music with some guests from 'round these parts. Was a stunning show, 2012 is off to a good start.

Honourable mention to Signals for having my favourite Rush song of all time on it (Subdivisions). That actually might be a contender for my favourite song in general. It struck me the first time I ever heard it.Updated list of concerts for this year:March 9th - Van Halen (First Niagara Center, Buffalo)March 23rd - Slash ft. Myles Kennedy (The Phoenix, Toronto)April 22nd - World Rock Symphony Orchestra (Fallsview Casino, Niagara Falls)I've heard good things about the show the World Rock Symphony Orchestra does. They seem to come around every year but last year was the first time I was actually old enough to get in. I did manage to get into Grand Funk Railroad at the casino when I was 15 though. James Bond
Unless Y108 in Hamilton is full of shit I could very well be adding Guns N' Roses at the Sound Academy in Toronto to my list.

Powerage5
I think I'm gonna go see Anvil on Tuesday night. Never seen them as a headliner, but they've always put on a killer show when I've seen them as an opener.

Marathon is just a magical song for me. I remember seeing that live when I saw the TM tour in Sarnia in 2010 and when I heard the opening to it, my jaw dropped. Power Windows is one of those albums that just sets me off. It has such great emotion all over each song. I hope they bring out some more Power Windows songs on the next tour. Powerage5
New Guns dates announced = No Van Halen Hell, I can go to 2 Gn'R shows for the price of one VH ticket almost For me it means no more Slash in Toronto probably I've already got my VH tickets for all 3 shows, none are particularly great seats. If money's looking bad, I could probably sell my Toronto tickets since it sold out so fast

That would have been killer to see. If you go, enjoy the New York shows.

I'd go see them while you still have the chance. It would be different if Guns was doing something new, however it's looking like this will just be another leg of the CD Tour. Powerage5
Did the VIP packages for both GN'R shows, since they're cheaper than the scalpers' prices still, and I wouldn't be able to get tickets until 4 hours after they go on sale tomorrow. I'm gonna seriously need to re-assess my priority gigs for this year; Slash in Toronto is definitely out of the question now, and I'm probably gonna end up selling my Van Halen tickets for Toronto too...
