So I saw Dizzy's wife was complaining, but I thought I read somewhere that he was going.

Does anyone know what's the word on that? I don't see Dizzy going if Axl doesn't.

Yeah Axl probably won't want him to and he don't wanna lose his job.

I don't think he's showing up, he can't go against Axl, no way.

ONE OTHER THING--ISN'T IT IRONIC THAT THE BAND AXL AND IZZY FORMED, WILL NOT HAVE IT'S TWO CHIEF SONGWRITERS AND FOUNDERS @ THE HOF? ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS, AND THE TWO WHO STARTED THIS BAND AREN'T GOING....THEY SEEM TO MAINTAIN FAR MORE CREDIBILITY! HAVEN'T SEEN IZZY SHOWING UP ON AMERICAN IDOL, OR PLAYING OUT OF TUNE AT HALFTIME WITH A BAND WHOSE MAIN CONTRIBUTION TO MUSIC IS HITTING THE DISCO BEAT BUTTON ON A CASIO KEYBOARD.

Well, haven't really seen Izzy at all except for a run of afewsongs with Axl's GNR a few years back. Damn you're dumber than I thought you were after the post you came with before this one. And that's what I call an achievement.

The only reason why Axl is getting so much Google hits, is because he's acting like a fucking child on the Hall of Fame happening. More hits will definitially come.

But do you really wanna say, that he's more popular than Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Bob Marley, Mick Jagger, Freddie etc.?? Hope you're joking....

Axl the only real rock and roll hero. Declining his invitation 2 days before the ceremony by letter, posting the first official 'band' photo since the real GN'R and still hiding in his cave, crying hisself to sleep about the fact that Slash has more succes then he since the dead of GN'R in '96.

Again just man up for one night. But if you even can't do that, you probably can better keep touring again and again with the same material and when your not on tour with your GN'R cover band, hiding in your cave all by yourself.

New Guns aren't even a band in the traditional sense. They never release music and are touring behind an album where 3 of the main members quit years ago. Now its simply one guy showing up in a limo 2 hrs late to a show while his band members wait for him. How does this qualify as a band or for induction into the hall of fame?

He's got some phenomenal players but nobody will ever know how good they are because their music is sitting in a vault somewhere getting pro-tooled out the ass for the next decade.

This forum honestly has some of the most annoying posters on the internet

that's because it's a forum dedicated to the most annoying singer of all time.

No, it's because they are butthurt over a hall of fame induction that "could have" started a reunion. Get over it.

Apparently the other thread I was gonna post this in was deleted, but for other content in the OP. This actually bears looking at.

Axl Rose returns 126,000,000 Google search results. That is by googling ["Axl Rose" Axl], which would eliminate unrelated Rose results (its 154,000,000 if you don't do that).

Now, let's compare it a bit to some other rock notables:

David Lee Roth: 7,480,000 (who's pretending to the throne ? :xmasssanta: )

Gene Simmons: 12,100,000

Keith Richards: 13,000,000

Robert Plant: 19,000,000

Freddie Mercury: 21,100,000

Jim Morrison: 26,500,000

Elvis Presley: 27,900,000

Ozzy Osbourne: 37,200,000

Johnny Cash: 44,100,000

Alice Cooper: 44,500,000

Brian May: 49,200,000

John Lennon: 50,600,000

Jimi Hendrix: 53,600,000

Tommy Lee: 55,200,000

Bob Dylan: 63,500,000

Steven Tyler: 65,800,000

Marilyn Manson: 71,600,000

David Bowie: 71,800,000

Sebastian Bach: 81,300,000 (riding heavily on the coattails of the composer)

Elton John: 108,000,000

Paul McCartney: 114,000,000

Bob Marley: 121,000,000

Slash: 125,000,000 (Slash's results, however, will turn up many other uses of the word, such as the verb and the term for gay crossover porn fanfics)

And less deserving notables:

Snooki: 43,500,000

Nickelback: 57,300,000

Ke$ha: 66,600,000

Lana Del Rey: 72,900,000

Donald Trump: 75,300,000

Bon Jovi: 81,300,000 (drops to 3,730,000 if you include his first name)*

Madonna: 92,500,000

Bono: 105,000,000*

Osama Bin Laden: 123,000,000

The only ones I'm finding that beat him are current pop star names thrown around absolutely constantly like Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, and Lady Gaga. He is the king of rock n' roll, however.

*Apologies if you're actually a fan of Jovi or Bono, just couldn't resist the swipe at them B)

And he is going to make more hits. Another tour coming.

Well, I am glad that Axl has a lot of hits on Google. They are the only hits that he's had in 20 years.

He never left GnR... And he plays the songs cause they are his too. Is that so hard to understand? The songs are their babies and they share custody, Slash can play them, Duff too, Adler too and Hell yes! Axl too... He might come across bitter to you in the letter about the original lineup, but he might just be bitter right now about the whole situation, a situation he never even asked for, BTW! And even if he really is, he is bitter towards his "partners" not towards their children...

You shouldn't have it both ways. He says he wants to move on, then MOVE ON! release new music, stop playing anything before Oh My God, give this band a chance for real. Does he really want to be "rock and roll"? how about creating some, that should be a good start.

well, you wouldn't know what i post just as i have no clue what are your opinions but i'm not a "reunionist". i want new music. i want the new band to do something by their own and that's it. i'm over "it" for sure.

he's not annoying for not reuniting with the old guys. he's annoying for playing old hits and not giving the new guys a chance to shine and get awards in 25 years as they deserve for their talent.

Here is the thing, a few months ago when no one knew they were to be inducted alot of users did not care so much claiming the HOF was bullshit anyway and we didn't need the HOF to tell us what we already know about Guns being great.

Then, they announced they were to be inducted April 14th 2012, said users got excited by dreaming up a reuniun they want to see without any facts to say that would happen at all.

Now Axl bows out, then Dizzy (it appears), no word from Izzy you know the guy who create alot of the genius behind what was. Said users all of a sudden are pissed off at Axl, the world or whoever is stopping this dreamt up reunion.

I have always said if they ever did (obviously not happnin) get back together even for one day it would for me have to be for the right reasons, not faked or otherwise. For real if they got back together tomorrow do you honestly think the magic would still be there? The magic I was luckily able to see years ago live. I say no, I also think the biggest backlash comes from those who never go tto see those guys on stage back when, (not all but most) You want it because you never got to see it, thing is, that was then, it cannot be duplicated the same today or any day in the future IMO. It was a different time and a different world. I am not against reunion or for it, I just think that if the stars were right and they all thought it was best etc then sure go ahead, still for me that time had past a long time ago.

Do it for the fans? I don't like that idea myself? do it for the $$$, fuck that. I will listen to the guys I want outta the band and see shows that come to town from ex or current members. I am sitting in my computer room with alot of Rock stuff on my walls. This big Axl ass kisser I am has GN'R from yesterdays and today, Slash, Duff, Steven, few Slash actually hanging on my wall, why? Because if the music is good and I feel it I dig it then I tend to lean towards it. As I look at the pictures of them seperate I do not think they should be together for some music execs creamin thier collective pants at the $ it could have generated by a dreamed up fantasy that never was to be.

Let's all go back to who cares about the HOF again, we are the fans of so many we don't need some clowns at the music industry to tell us what is good to us. At least I don't. I was excited not for them performing (which I never thought was even a remote possiblitly) but for the recognition from the fans, then I look at it now and think we do it on our own anyway, we recognize them everyday (some of us) from what I can tell the members old and new dig that recognition, making demands is not up to us, let's enjoy what we do have, even if it is seperated. There is no denying the history of Guns N' Roses, the people that bash the old or ex members baffle me (with exeption to some silly comments from certain members including Axl himself against other members) We don't have to bash them, or the new guys, I go to the and post in the Slash section too, I dig Slash and love his feeling and tone and instant gratification in listening to him play. I don't understand why everything is for or against certain people, life is too short enjoy what you can while you can :)

Sorry for the long post

Lisa Reed:

Just an FYI for those supporting the rrhof and dissing my friend for his honest and forthright decision. This establishment wanted to charge dizzy $3000 per person to attend his induction to their little museum. With the kids and parents and everyone close to him. This would have added up to $21000. Pretty sure He would rather spend that money on more meaningful things.

---

Dizzy doesn't have/can't afford $21K? Laughable. Axl must not pay much these days.

Lisa Reed

Has nothing to do with money. That was a side note of how petty and unscrupulous the industry is

A small part of me feels sorry for Axl. Mental illness can be tough they say. Hope he gets the help he needs.

The fact that some people attribute his mental illness to a badass rock n roll attitude really annoys me. Someone like him can't fix his behavior if he's being praised for it. It's so hollow and meaningless.
