weaponsnflowers
Since there is no new music from GNR, is there bands with similar sound, that could somehow ease the pain? With the sound I mainly mean bands where the vocals are similar to Axl's. You know, long screeches that really sell the anger, desperation or any other feeling the song is trying to emote? Preferrably with good lyrics as well. Any recommendations?
Lies They Tell
Nah man, I've searched for a long time and there's none. Try searching for something different that you may like.

weaponsnflowers
Well shit. There are vocalists that do epic screaming, but they mostly have lower growly voices, there's just something about those high pitched banshee screams that just kick ass more than anything else. Towelie
Judas Priest? I think Axl based a lot of his early vocal stylings on Rob Halford.
Randy Jesus
Nickelback. There was a time when there was a band that sounded like GNR and it made it big. Then they fired their head singer who sounds nothing like Axl. They never actually looked for a front man even though the they said they were. I don't remember the name of the band. Bumble's Bridge Pickup
You mean vocalists with a similar sound? Well, there's Greg Puciato of the Dillinger Escape Plan... best screecher ever. The music is... pretty far from GNR He's also in this band (short guy in black hoodie) :

Len Cnut
Oasises entire output condensed into one song pretty much, short of an acoustic ballad or two this is about it.
slash23579
M Shadows of Avenged Sevenfold really has an Axl sounding voice. A calm, nasally voice, and a high, 'raspy', voice. I've heard that they've had the same vocal coach, and that's why they sound so much alike.
BreakDown2014
Straight hard rock, not really close to GN'R , GN'R is definetely one of a kind
Obsession Of Vanity
There's nobody like Axl when it comes to singing a song. Nobody. That vocal style is just fuckin' fantastic and nobody else comes even close. I've tried to find some other band to fill the gap and never come back with anything.

If you're into hard rock, you're gonna have to find old records from old bands etc. Rock and metal is still alive, but it's not mainstream anymore and defiantly NOT hard rock. Dangelus
I would recommend Led Zeppelin, Avenged Sevenfold and... Alter Bridge (however unpopular Myles might be with some here!)
ludurigan
Exactly: nobody sings like Axl Rose. What Axl Rose did on GNR recordings, and what Axl Rose did live (mainly from 1985 to 1991) is unique and can not be duplicated;Even Axl Rose himself can't sing like "himself" anymore.Axl began to struggle with his voice and his delivery in late 1991, early 1992, and ever since then he can't sing like "himself" anymore. You won't find another Axl anywhere; But you can find lots of bands that Axl grew up listening and idolizing. They are not as good as GNR.But they are fucking great.I don't know how old you are and how much you know about music;Hope you can ease your pain with these: And, of course, you can always find the not-so-familiar and still-a-bit-obscure Axl:
Tom-Ass
I fucking love these guys. Alot of their really good stuff isn't even on youtube. The had a 5 song EP called "Sunday's Best". To me it was the best thing released in 2013 aside from Black Sabbath's "13"..
