gunsfanoldie
Surprised it didn't happen sooner. I mean, I don't think it should be. I don't think we're all gonna get blowed up if we go to the theaters like they claim. I'm just saying with all the controversy surrounding it my thought process was "is this really worth it?"Thankfully, I didn't really care that much about it, but I think Sony is the idiot here. They've been showing trailers since the summer. Did they REALLY thing this wouldn't cause something? I just don't know why you'd hype something for half a year that should have been pretty clear was going to cause a stir from the beginning. Jakey Styley
It's ridiculous that North Korea got their way with this.
Dazey
Bunch of fucking pussies who should be ashamed of themselves. What kind of precedent is this going to set seriously? That said, do you think we could send a few dodgy emails and get anything Michael Bay releases cancelled from now on?
AxlisOld
Well they were threatening WW3 over it. But is anyone surprised they caved? Gee, I wonder if it will "leak."

AxlisOld
Well terrorism wins.If ANYTHING happened, we'd have post 9/11 support to wipe N Korea off the map. This isn't censorship, it's a bunch of theater chains pussing out.

Angelica
From a business perspective, I can sort of understand it (the theatre chains, not Sony). But it's a fucking terrible precedent. I would like to thank Glorious Leader for the email hack though. That shit was a lot funnier than the movie looks. Ace Nova
Wow, they've been running trailers on almost every commercial break down here in Florida over the past few weeks. I can't imagine how much money they lost marketing the thing.
Nosaj Thing
I can't imagine how much money they lost marketing the thing. Oh, poor Sony executives. They won't be able to pay the rent next month!
Iron MikeyJ
I still hope the resto of the leaks come out though. I was getting TONS of Ghostbusters news, most of which was terrible though.....

darknightfan
I think not releasing it is a good idea, not because of threats, but because it will be a shitty movie.
AxlisOld
the US has lost its balls. Not the US, man, movie theaters. I think it's an important distinction to make. I remember Trey Parker talking about the showing Muhammed controversy with their Family Guy episode, and he gave Comedy Central credit for admitting it wasn't political, they just didnt wanna get bombed. Damn_Smooth
North Korea has never and will never come through on their threats.This. They threaten South Korea almost daily and no movies are canceled over it. This is one of the biggest pussouts in recorded history.
Nosaj Thing
But... what if some crazy American psycho pulls another The Dark Knight Rises shooting in the name of North Korea? It could happen. Edited December 18, 2014 by Nosaj Thing
ZoSoRose
I think it was canned because the hackers have something on Sony. There's no way North Korea can stage terrorist attacks on the United States. They never would

Amir
I'm pretty sure the hackers are just a bunch of pissed-off Spider-Man fans who are trying to force Sony's hand into giving the rights back to Marvel, and are just using the North Korea thing as a front/for shits and giggles.
