Popular Post ludurigan Posted February 12, 2015 Popular Post Posted February 12, 2015 (edited) EDIT ON MAY 1ST 2015 = Now we know that this session was most certainly for the recording of one or more songs for DUFF'S NEW EP "HOW TO BE A MAN" that is going to be released on May 2015...===Duff posted a photo where he is with Izzy and Taz Bentley (Izzy drummer) in a studio. They are surely recording some rock n roll.PROBABLY A NEW IZZY ALBUM!Duff and Taz have played on several Izzy albums.Missing from the photos (and probably from the sessions) is Rick Richards. If I am not mistaken, Rick has appeared on EVERY SONG of EVERY IZZY SOLO ALBUM (he has released more than 10) to date. That can be extremely cool. Maybe Izzy is shooting for a more punk rock approach, no solos...Who knows? To see these guys back on studio again is as good as it gets for now.Maybe one day we will have all the five recording new music/Anyway...I'll be waiting (and salivating) for more Izzy (and Duff) new music, bring it on guys! Matthias Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Cool, thanks for posting that. Always looking forward for some Izzy/Duff music.
smoking guns Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Maybe Duff and Izzy will play all the guitars and Duff will play bass too.. I like Rick Richards.. Maybe Slash is doing a tune with them as well?
IncitingChaos Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 It would be cool if Slash got involved too, but honestly I think we would all like to hear Axl on atleast one song. He's on good standing with these too and I imagine they might reach out to him. Many will say he doesn't even record his own music, but this would be easy and care free for him I think. More so than anything GNR related.
DieselDaisy Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Yes, good news. Hopefully Stradlin plays some shows.
Rovim Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Yes, good news. Hopefully Stradlin plays some shows. He mainly performs with Axl these days.
niceguy Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I see no reason why Axl can't sing on a few of their tracks, esp if the old one isn't involved. It would be incredibly pathetic if Axl turns down a request to sing from these two. It's not like Axl has a reputation to protect anymore. Just look at what a fucking joke he's become. 1
cooker Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Awesome. Whatever this turns out to be I'll get my hands on it.... legally. Too bad Izzy doesn't press Vinyl even as just an exclusive.
DieselDaisy Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I do not really want Axl or Slash anywhere near a new Izzy recording! 2
tentonneskeleton Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I'd be stoked if there was a new Izzy album! Especially with Duff as a guest
Judezki Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 If Izzy is doing a new album I truly hope that Axl will be a guest on a song or two.

Just look at what a fucking joke he's become.Probably because Axl is likely the worst singer now a days out of any of the other old (or new) GNR members -- maybe outside of Adler. Why would they want him to fuck up their songs. I suppose maybe with some autotune and other technology they can make him sound half way decent in studio though. Edited February 12, 2015 by slim26
IncitingChaos Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Axl can still record good vocals I think. I hope he gets onboard with this if asked by Izzy. But I feel like Axl is about to make an announcement soon.
ChineseDemocracy2004 Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 If Izzy is making a new album I hope it's an improvement from Wave of Heat.
dontdamnmeuyi2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 (edited) Cool. My brother has a good friend that has produced some of Izzy's albums. He's never gotten the pleasure of meeting Axl yetJT is also the guy who did the music for those cute sock puppets that are becoming so popular on youtube especially the parody of Metallica's Master of Puppets. maynard Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Hopefully Slash will join them, same for Adler.
DieselDaisy Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I hope none of them do.IzzyDuffTazRick RichardsPerfection. Why fuck up that formula with regurgitated Slash riffing or shite vocals from ginger bollocks?
Tom-Ass Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Could care less about a new Izzy albums these days unless he actually wants to tour for it.. I would go see him live in a heartbeat..
username Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 (edited) I'd love that!Izzy albums are like AC/DC albums. Never surprising, but always very good. I really wish he'd do a solo tour. Would love to see Izzy! Edited February 12, 2015 by username 1

I'm happy for those that enjoy it, but I still don't see any merit in Izzy's solo stuff. It's all bland and boring to me... 1
RussTCB Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I've never listened to any of Izzys solo output. I should probably get on that.
HOOSIER GUNZ Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I'd like to see duff tour with him.Who's studio is that anyway?
Chris 55 Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Could care less about a new Izzy albums these days unless he actually wants to tour for it.. I would go see him live in a heartbeat..How much less could you care? 1
