I'm not joking.  I'm talking about the thousands of GnR fans that weren't there and weren't rioting.  The city of STL and fans here had absolutely nothing to do with it.  A few hundred drunk idiots at the concert doesn't mean everyone rioted.

To answer your question - not a lot has been said, but maybe tomorrow it will be more 'news worthy'.

Ah ok, I thought you meant the fans at the concert that rioted.  Pretty sure most of Axl's feud with St.Louis had to do with the city government, btw.

The fan meetup is tonight at Hair of the Dog, which is at 212 Washington Ave. in STL. It starts at 7 pm, but I read that the bar is open til 3 am, so I imagine the party will be going strong for a pretty decent amount of time. :P I don't believe there are any "official" plans for a pre-show gathering tomorrow, but it sounds like there are lots of bars near the venue. I'm sure those will be full of fellow fans doing some celebrating.

As far as merch goes, I do think that some stands usually open outside the venue prior to doors. I'm not sure what time the merch stands usually open, but maybe someone else can answer that better than I can.

That totally sucks. Have you checked out America's Best Value Inn on 3rd St.? It's super close to the Dome, and has by far been the cheapest place that close to the venue available these past couple of months. Doesn't seem like the nicest of places, but if you're just looking for a place to have as your home base, I'd say check it out. I was originally planning to stay there, but ended up scoring a nearby Airbnb earlier this month.

FYI Hair is at 1212 Washington Ave. I think you accidentally left the 1 off.

PIT 2 TICKETS NOW ON TICKETMASTER

Yep, I almost pulled the trigger on those but I'm taking our daughter and she wouldn't want to stand all night. I still grabbed floor seats halfway back for $99 each.

I think they're flying separate out there...someone on Facebook said Duff was on her plane.

Wouldn't be surprising if they are traveling separate for the US run.  Slash n Duff can buzz home between shows for family etc....sleep in own beds few nights a week.

Eh.  They dropped the A section floor ticket prices from $250 to $150 today.

Very good...In last two days they sold couple thousand tickets...As we can see on live nation about 2000-3000 tickets left...So show will be soldout or near soldout

Anyone has an idea where they staying? Or even where to start looking? I saw a few posts on here about it but doesn't seem like an expensive enough hotel for the band. Anyone?

I hear a lot of the crew was staying at the Magnolia which makes sense since it is basically across the street from the dome. Not sure if the band is staying there too. Four Seasons would also make sense. If anyone hears for sure, please post.

Go to Broadway oyster bar just down the street on Broadway, just past Busch stadium

Great place, but worth noting that it would be a fairly long walk if you choose to head over there from the Dome.  Also, since it is right near Busch, you will have to deal with Cardinals gameday traffic/crowds. Remember, there is a Cardinal game the same time tomorrow and Cardinals fans typically come out in force - even during a down year.

Hard to imagine how a band can enjoy playing to a seated audience.

I played a club gig in my hometown and they had chairs set up. Like wtf? I'm one of those guitar players who gets into the songs and jumps around too so it felt weird when the crowd wasn't moving at all

At Chicago 1, almost all of the A2 and A3 sections were standing the entire show.  You're not forced to sit down.

In SF, the entire ballpark 40,000 people stood despite most having seats. Seats don't matter, we stand and rock regardless! :headbang:
