ShadowOfTheWave
I'm talking about lyrics. Seems the bulk of CD lyrics were written 1999-2000. Better I think was said to be written around 2003 or so? And people here have speculated Axl wrote the lyrics to Soul Monster in 2004. Shackler's was about Virginia Tech so that had to be 2007. Sorry must have been written sometime in there as well as Scraped. Anything else? Edited December 27, 2019 by ShadowOfTheWave
Nick85
The fact that I have to think hard about this is just so, so sad.

Axl said he recorded his vocals for that song on a Christmas Eve - they only had a studio booked for December in 2004 and 2006. Axl only worked on songs that ended up on the final album in 2006, so it had to be 2004.

vloors
Only confirmed lyrics after 2000 written by Axl would be the officially released material. So that narrows it down to chinese democracy. The album has the confirmed writer/co writer for each song. The unreleased stuff after 2000 could be written by someone else, written by axl or co written for all we know so is not confirmed. Jw224
Honestly I think there's probably more than we think. Whether we ever get to hear it is another thing.

Yeah but we thought that leaks were over and done with until this Zutaut thing. This story will never stop getting weirder.
ryanf23
I’m sure there are tons of lyrics written that were never put to music.
