I wasn't going to check out the first one because I heard it got cancelled, but apparently the ending is satisfying enough to make it work as a mini series type thing, so I figured I'd give it a try anyways. Won't be going back to that (found the writing/setup cliched and the acting not much better; it depends too much on overt violence and sex while offering up a tired old story done better elsewhere).Fiancé and I got through the four seasons of The Killing. Loved that show. Felt the ending was somewhat similar to The Wire, with them showcasing the city as the sendoff to the series. Nearly done The Returned, a french show that starts slow but it's starting to get good. Only eight episodes, highly recommended so long as you don't mind subtitles. An episode and a half into The Fall. Not sure what I think about Gillian Anderson's British accent. Why is that Brits can do an American accent far better than an American doing a British accent? Enjoy it, but still not sure how I feel about it (a little controversial to include the killer from the get go; sort of whitewashes/humanizes him and not sure how I feel about that). Netflix is great because it offers so many titles, but the downside to that is sometimes you just can't decide what you're gonna be watching. Dumb thing to complain about, but still, haha.Finally finished up Breaking Bad sometime last month. Was a great ride, season four was definitely my favorite point. Five was great too, but I feel like it wasn't as good as the season before. The only one I really disliked was the third because it seemed to drag along at some points. Then after that I watched all of the Leprechaun movies, because I secretly hate myself, haha. Also saw a movie called "It's Such a Beautiful Day." Was a nice way to kill an hour, I liked it. I went in expecting more since I love this cult classic stuff and other comedies made around the same time. I wasn't overly disappointed but it wasn't as good as I hoped. Still probably going to check out that miniseries thing they have coming out soon.Now I'm going to go watch Super Troopers because it makes me happy.
