ShadowOfTheWave
I've read some people on the forums say it was a sell out for Duff to even jam with Axl and the new band. If he joins Guns full time, how will it affect your opinion of him? Will he have lost credibility? Gained it?
maynard
It's been too long for me to really care about it. If Duff needs money, let him do whatever he wants to. It's not like being a full time member of Guns n' Roses will affect his life too much. They play like 15 shows a year, do no press, don't release music, etc... dalsh327
Who said it was a sell out? Slash is the only one I can see having a problem with it. It was weird to see Axl's name trending at #1 on Yahoo over a DJ Ashba interview where he's just repeating things he said in the past. The only new thing is that now the rumor mill is going to be saying there's 2 new albums. Now that people are doing surprise releases and Prince put 2 albums out, all those things are going to tie into GNR rumors.

Subtle Signs
The term sell out is highly overused. Duff has been a professional musician for what,30 years now? Due to investments he might be the second richest Gunner behind Axl. If he joins Gn'R great. It'll give the kids and older folk like myself a chance to see 2/5ths of the classic lineup.
jekylhyde
Duff is a class act and a cool dude. Joining nu-Guns wouldn't chance that.

gnr157
to me, Duff joining nu-gnr would be almost the opposite of "selling out" --- selling out at this point would be Axl getting back for a reunion tour. Duff joining / jamming with the new band is definitely more of just for the music kind of vibe.
RandallFlagg
It'd say a lot more about Axl's ideas of progress and growth... this is the party trick he brings out once a tour instead of anything beyond 2008 after all lol.Actually probably 2005 since the majority of tracks were done and dusted by then. WhazUp
Honestly I like Duff too much for him to waste his time with a band that doesn't release anything ever. But then again maybe Duff's business savy mind and productive mindset would be a good thing for Axl nowadays
Apollo
Not in the least bit.GnR is a BAND - that's it.Why would it change our opinion what a grown-ass adult, who we aren't personally friends with, decides to do as a job?My opinion of Duff - the musician - stays the same regardless if he joins GnR or Rhianna's band. It is his career and he can play with whomever he wants.

It's his life. Worry about your own.

Anguyen92
Nope. I will always like this guy. He was probably the main reason why I got into learning about business in the 1st place. Now if this affects (very unlikely) the next Walking Papers album, I may have some problems with that. magisme
I thought his playing with Nu was kinda lame, so I'd think it extra lame if he actually joined the lol band.

Liquor & Whores
Duff will still be a class act. No matter if he re-joins GNR or not.
Johnny Drama
I couldn't see Duff doing it permanently unless he had Slash, Izzy and Steven in tow.
niceguy
I'm willing to bet that Duff makes far more money now with his various ventures than he ever would as Axl's employee. Duff will not accept a situation where Beta is punching his time card or where Fernando can deny or grant vacation requests.
JAEBALL
If Duff came back as just a full time touring musician for Ax's GNR... then yes I actually would a little bit...and i think the world of Duff, not that I have ever met him, just how he presents himselfBut I don't ever think he would.. if Axl could work out his issues with Slash and they functioned in writing new songs together then I think he would love to do it on a full time basis...
