The "Axl/Slash/Duff + 2 Mystery Players Re-banded But Not A Reunion Tour" Thread - Announcement Imminent!

Recommended Posts

Maybe they are get bored with this another leech of media personality who will instantly leak anything related to a reunion?

I think it can fuck shit up, so they don't want to risk it. If it's really happening. But if it's on, I'd imagine that there are many things that need to get done before they can announce something, so perhaps they're just not ready yet.

They're protecting their interests. When it's time for them to make money, we'll know.

ummm. basically that's what i said

you are too high

It's likely. But you said they were bored, I think if Slash was able to speak freely about it, he'd love to. Duff as well. Even Duff's wife, Susan, looked kinda worried when her bff blurted out "Guns N' fuckin' Roses are back" or some shit.

Anyone really made that claim?

But what is cool, though, is that by extrapolating the numbers based on actual sales in the US and UK as of today, you arrive at 4-6 million copies sold per 2015 globally.

I don't believe Chinese actually sold more than 3 million copies. Rustycage posted the numbers in a thread fairly recently. Actually sold.

There are no updated reports of the number of copies sold. You won't be able to find such numbers anywhere. Rustycage is using numbers from 2009/2010 :shrugs: .

I was just fuckin'. I think it sold more than 50 million copies since it came out. The Dollar Tree deal was what really did it. more than 40 milion copies out of those 50 were sold after the big discount. Chinese Democracy for a buck is irresistible. I've heard it's big in japan.

I just want to clarify one thing for those who didn't listen to the podcast.

Eddie isn't calling them for interviews, but when he is in LA he always texts Duff or Slash or Steven or Matt because they're friends! Business calls are through managers, fun and coffee with friends go through normal cell phones. And all he said was he sent the same texts he always does to his friends and for the first time ever no one is responding. They all still get along because they were recently hanging at Lemmy Bday, but they all wen't silent because of the big elephant in the room that they obviously can't discuss.

I know common sense isn't that common but no multi million dollar deal is going to be have a confirmation by any of the members until it's public knowledge and everyone is on board. All they're saying is judging by the fact that they have all canceled interviews, aren't responding to normal texts and are avoiding the issue so much makes it seem imminent.

And on the other hand people in the industry are talking because these things get out and most people can talk about it because they're not part of the deal itself therefore, they can leak bits and pieces here and there.

Makes total sense someone who works for the band or is in any way tied will deny everything, possibly avoid the subject until it's actually done.

Dean Delray is also friends with them and they all stopped talking at the same time to him as well. Duff had a second part of the podcast to do and he just stopped answering texts, his management went silent.

The only person in the world that has it easy is AXL, because he's always very good at not saying anything and that's why there's so much interest, Axl stayed low for so long that even the last 5 years of touring didn't make the public eye tired of him. People still find him amazing mostly because he's never around so there's a huge element of surprise. That may have provided the original members a great comeback money, because people still care.

Even the fact that all disappeared after vegas is amazing. people don't even know how he's looking. from a marketing point of view i think it's brilliant.

But everyone is talking and as they said it's biggest buzz ever on the business about a reunion right now. so let's all have a lil patience and time will tell who was right after all. my money is on the people that told me this in MAY and of course back then it was difficult to believe, but now... makes perfect sense.

I am wanting to ask you all this question, how much do you all think Guns N Roses Reunion tickets will REALISTICALLY sell for???

I live in Austin, Texas currently.

I would ideally like to buy front row tickets, front and center stage.

Or I could also settle for like General Admission or Floor seats that are in the center of the stage within the first 1 to 6 rows.

I'm looking for REALISTIC and EDUCATED guesses here, so don't just pull a number out of nowhere. I mean, have something to base it on, such as for example what did tickets cost like that to see past reunions of bands like the Stones, Eagles, Van Halen etc???

Should I be able to buy a ticket for as low as $250 and expect to be that close to the stage?

I am willing to travel to another state if everything sells out here in TX and I can find a much better price and better seat in another state.

I've never saw a GNR concert before so this is a huge deal for me and I am quite poor so I am trying to guage how much I should save up so I can be prepared when tickets do go on sale.

Thanks.

I guess maybe like I said based on what did past reunions tix sell for etc. If I wait till the last minute when its announced I won't have the cash. And if it's going to cost something like $5,000 five thousand dollars to get a front row seat then I may as well not even bother going. I'm just looking for a ballpark realistic figure.

I don't see how GNR reunion is gonna be any bigger than the VH reunion with DLR a few years ago... anyone know what average prices were on front row tickets were back when that happened? I tried to google it but couldn't find anything.

Well 2016 is the year for the Europe run/Festivals for GNR, there might be some US dates at the end of 2016, but I can't give you any guarantee on that.

The ticket prices depends, it would be insane if its more than $250, but it can go, I guess someone here said that the Roger Waters show was for $900 or something.

My opinion to you would be that keep at least $200 aside, IF it happens then you would have some Cash.

Btw as you are new here, Welcome to the Forum.

Are we talking about the second leg or the third leg of the reunion tour?

Damn, I'm running out of time! I need to find a babysitter (and I don't even have kids), gas up the truck, and buy beers for the tailgating!

I am disappointed, why do you need to find a baby sitter? As a member of the BNU I would have given you some good contacts!

Well, that sounds like good guesses so far...

I can easily pawn one of my guitars for $250 so that won't be a problem.

I am willing to pay up to $1,000

I will even get a payday loan too to cover it if I have to. I should be able to save it in time, but just in case.

But anything much, much more than $1,000 for a ticket and I may have to stay home and hope a DVD comes out.

I don't wanna go if I can't be close to the stage, I want to see the band in the flesh, not looking at the big monitor screens.

I want to see one of the very first shows they play here in the US if that is what you meant by "legs"

I doubt Axl or Izzy or Adler will all get a long well enough or stay off dope enough to make it through a huge 2 year tour of many legs.

They will probably break up again within 2-6 months of touring this reunion so I wanna see them ASAP.

They are the ONLY band I ever cared about seeing in my life besides VH/DLR and Ozzy Osbourne & Randy Rhoads.

So IIRC, if they hit Coachella it's a January announcement, right? Never really followed that festival so I have no idea when they usually announce lineups.

Yes, buy your tix to Coachella now. It's the kickoff for the first leg of the tour. That's what's been decided here. Of course, not a single person in the band has uttered one syllable confirming or denying this, but this is what's going to happen.

GNR is my fav. band, but dude I won't pawn anything for them.

Nothing has been announced, so seriously don't start selling stuff from now on, the GA or the standing area won't be more than $250.

All I can say is that don't be so over excited.
