I saw these on nightrain.

Theres a lot of hate in D&N for this shop, I suppose because they are saying it is part of AFD celebration? And people don't like that there are designers involved, I guess. Maybe it will be like the London one, with normal merch in there too.

I think all of the hate about it is pretty damn silly if you ask me. Honestly those boys are maybe tired of bitching about Axls voice and have moved on to the next topic! :P Wait! What I am saying?!! They will never tire of bitching about his voice or the set list or, or......

How old are you?

I think you're kind of mixing up professional success with popularity. They are not the same thing.

Out of the three people you mentioned, Cindy Crawford was the most popular in the 90s. This is basically because she married Richard Gere, who was one of the hottest actors of Hollywood in the 90s as well. This helped her a lot in her career. I remember her face plastered everywhere and was in every gossip mag, tv show, etc.

Stephanie was digging her way up before Axl but she wasn't as popular as Cindy. The Guns N' Roses videos and her relationship with Axl put her in the limelight too. She continued working with Versace and making commercials for L'oreal but in 1993 she took time off for having kids. I did not hear from her again until many years later.

Susan was just a hard working model like the rest. She worked for most major designers and made covers for the most popular magazines, but as a model not like the wife or girlfriend of anyone, so I think her career was pretty successful in the 90s. Just not a popular model or part of the supermodel gang.

I don´t think I´m  mixing up anything....  I just said that I wondered why Susan wasn´t as  popular as Cindy and Stephanie, (I never talked about professional success).

(i don´t know who made more millions and I really don´t care)

Also, no need to enlighten me about Cindy´s career,  I think we all know who she is. :shrugs:

I was just mentioning that I didn´t find much videos of Susan on the runway, ( and with that I´m really not implying anything). I just had the idea the 3 women were supermodels, since Stephanie is presented sometimes as one? and I remember reading an article of Susan calling her one but whatever...

With your las paragraph I get an idea.

I was born during the 90s, btw.

I watched Sinead O' Connor's video... I didn't know about her problem before that.

From what I understand, her issue is not that she can't get treatment in a hospital; she has the financial resources and a psychiatrist who can help her.  She was in a hospital in Ireland, but because (like many other patients in there) she was stigmatized and didn't have emotional support from her family/friends, she fled to America as a way to make them care for her; and it's been two years since then. Her video is a message to her family as well as to the families of other people who suffer from a mental illness.

And some of the comments under her video are just...; some people say it's her fault that her family abandoned her...

Unfortunately the stigmatization of the mentally ill is not something that happens only in Ireland. There is still ignorance and prejudice everywhere. Many people don't even know that depression is a mental illness; and some of those who do know it, think of mental illness as a synonym to "madness" or "craziness, meaning saying "crazy" or stupid things and being potentially dangerous.

4.31 - Does anybody know where this footage comes from or if it can be found anywhere else in a longer version or something...

I think that's just part of many other footage that surfaced throughout the years as snippets but I don't know who uploaded it. Maybe someone from the crew. I don't think there is a longer version. This is mainly what Axl is keeping secret in his vault and maybe one day it gets released. Not sure. He has an aversion for those times so probably doesn't want to be reminded

No, not a nurse. I'm what they call an assistant practitioner here, which sounds great but is basically a senior care assistant. I can do all of the medication rounds, observation rounds and paperwork for the nurses, or just be left in charge if it's not high enough needs. I work for the NHS and I can go from one ward to another or other times I have requested to work in the community. Not specialist in psychiatric care, though.

Oh. Ok! That's a tough job and very respectable.

Well, you talked about the amount of catwalks each one did and that's basically refering to her job, right?

I didn't mean to "enlighten" you about who is Cindy Crawford. But you said you didn't know who Stephanie Seymour is, so I figured you'd be someone younger than us here and that's why I asked your age. Lots of young people don't have a clue about 90s icons, musicians and artists, so there's nothing wrong about it.

Stephanie was a supermodel, yes, there were other girls who were more "supermodel" than her.

A supermodel is someone who is a model and also a celebrity. That's why Susan was not one of them but she worked a lot and probably more than the supermodels.

It's from footage owned by Robert John, as the other clips from the tour that are on youtube (like the one with Axl doing ballet etc). I think he filmed it separately from the crew that filmed the documentary (which is in the vault).

Here are most of the clips in one video (there isn't a longer version of this particular clip):

I don`t think its problem just in UK and Ireland, it`s worldwide. The worst it was in Japan (suicide rates!), they even don`t have a concept of depression, they`re like "go home and do something with yourself". I was volunteering in major international camp in Japan, luckily they soon started to call western volunteers at least for western teenagers with obviously mental problems. People with major psychic breakdown often come from sick families, so, as sweet as it seems, family help might not be always the best possibility. With depression, people cut themselves from friends and it might be difficult to call them back.

Other thing to count in is that as a famous person, you are not allowed to be human anymore by many, they`re like "you have talent, money, fame, you can have everything you point on, so dare to whine".

Thanks. Seems like this one was the only one I haven't seen before.

I was just going to post the video here. This is proof in my mind that Axl and Slash are on good terms. I wonder what it looks like from the front. :D

@purplestargirl That's what I was wondering too, what does this moment look from the front? ^^  So glad to see it though.  Have they been reading this thread?

Honestly, I'm pretty sure it would be too traumatizing for them to find out a bunch of us ship them together so I hope not.

Also I don't think anyone in Guns does even though I've speculated it before.

This was posted twice in the main section and deleted, just a heads up.

What kind of insider would post all that many times on a GnR messenger board?

And he is one of those who believes Axl and Vanessa have a relationship and that child is his... hmmmm.

Some things, you could guess at yourself but who knows :shrugs:

I was reading this last night.  I don't believe him.  He's not really offering any information I haven't seen others discuss on this forum, one way or another.  In some ways, members here seem to know more, especially about the CD era, or give that impression anyway.

Edit: there's a really cute Duff/Axl gif on there though! ;)

I wouldn't be surprised if they did. I always knew @BorderlineCrazy was a TB spy! :max::P

I don't believe the guy, either. It seems like he's just pissed that he got banned from nightrain and is now spreading rumors to get even.

I don't for one minute believe he is a true insider, the level Jarmo is. Perhaps he hears things, from people on the very outer circles and that's how these things happen?

For instance, I think most of us can accept that something very drastic happened to Axl in 2010 and sent him on a downward spiral and drink and drugs were involved. That looks pretty obvious to anyone who followed him during that time.
