I would happily take Norway's entire system of governance in a heartbeat assuming it could be implemented fully formed.

Me too (Although I think it would be more likely to work with a smaller economy/polity *cough*independentScotland*cough*). But the Norway Plus thing is talking about their relationship with the EU rather than their system of governance.

It really shouldn't bother me but I have a problem with people who use the word snowflake. It comes across as childish and unintelligent when someone has to resort to insults/name calling to get their point across. A basic level of respect isn't too much to ask for.

What about Lit?

I'm good with lit, it's never bothered me one way or the other.

Shook don’t have fuck all go do with 2018 really.  Come to that neither do a ton of the words stated.

Really? I never heard anyone saying "that (fill in the blank) got me shook" until this year.

Startup.

I hate that term. People start and close businesses every day. This one is liberally applied to anyone who has found venture capital to build an app. It’s really one person with an over-inflated ego who is in debt to another person with over-inflated pockets.

It feels like nobody wants to start small, invest their own money and plan to grow based on the time they can give. It’s all year one: move into office, year two: retire as millionaires.

There are loads of other terms on LinkedIn. But Startup simultaneously glamourises and simplifies the concept of a new business.

I think we're talking about how the general public is using terms now, not how one artists used it 20 years ago.

Well I can only point out instances of famous people, its not like I can go 'Ronald Carver of 2205 Broad Street Ann Arbor' etc etc and give you like a phone directory worth of people who do it but shook is a very common term and has been for a couple of decades.

And Fascist, is fascist a new thing being used in the context that it is?

Well I'm glad I haven't heard it much until this past year lol
