Mike Campbell is such an amazing guitar player as well!Special guest performance by Eddie Vedder who did lead vocals on The Waiting and shared vocals with Tom on American Girl. Xia
Slash w/ Myles Kennedy - This was that Toronto show in March, it wasn't as good as when they first came here but I think it was mainly due to the mostly corporate crowd. The near identical setlist didn't help either. Always a fun time none the less.Band of Skulls - Great rock band, new album's not as great as their debut but they're and incredible live band. Great sound for three people.Mastodon & Opeth - My 5th time seeing Mastodon, and it was a bit better than I expected. It'd be nice if they worked on their vocals though, I can never hear the lead guitar too. My third time seeing Opeth was great, but required an acquired taste given their latest release is far from a metal album.Alabama Shakes - Incredible, one of the best gigs I've ever had the pleasure of attending. The pipes on Britt Howard are unreal and channel something that I don't think has been felt since the likes of Robert Plant or even Otis Redding. Most people compare her to Janis Joplin. My cheeks hurt from smiling so much after the show.UPCOMINGBlack Keys - Late JulyMy Morning Jacket - Mid AugustRush - October

luciusfunk
Right now it's looking like my only concert will be Adam Ant in September. I bought my ticket back in February after the February show was postponed until September. A good friend of mine is also going with me. I haven't seen him since I moved to the DFW area two years ago. Zint
How was Waters, Zint? I was close to going to that show.Superb! The show has been tweaked a bit since the tour started, fine tuned. It was interesting seeing it in a venue with a wider floor than a hockey arena because they had to make the wall more expansive.Which meant the projections were even more looming..it really felt immersive.Visually,it's the most spectacular production I have ever witnessed...just stunning.I don't think I will ever see anything quite like it again. The only downside was the Rogers Centre audio...those who have seen concerts there know what I'm talking about. Interesting observation though...all the insanely drunk people who were so loaded that they either were passed out in their seats or just couldn't hold their heads up how ever hard they tried, momentarily popped out of their stupors when Comfortably Numb started, long enough to give the devil horns and slur a "woooo yeeeeeah" before checking back out.The healing powers of music...
