You know who hasn't dropped off of the radar? Me. I'll always be there <3

And yeah. I was front row for them. Towards the center for all but the first show, which I was on Robin's side. Got shoved a bit, but turning around and looking at the pit it wasn't all that bad. Except during March of the Pigs. It was pretty rough during that.

Saw Avenged Sevenfold again last night. Pretty good show, but I think it was better when I saw them last year. Crowd sucked at first, but once they started playing Doing Time from the new album people started to get pretty crazy and we went from being halfway back (planning on moving up) to like 3 rows back. We were around the pit the whole time and hopped in a few times. Place had security that kept coming in to stop it and Shadows eventually was like "You guys don't need to be in there. They're just doing their job, but we don't need 'em there." Needless to say, security left  Also, they brought a fan up on stage to play Unholy Confessions. Gates just laid on the stage and took a break, so it was cool to see a fan just be able to play the lead guitar, and not just an "extra" lead guitar. He did a really good job too, so that was probably pretty awesome for him. Fun show, though. Always have a good time seeing them.

Next show is Gn'R next Tuesday. :) Now I just need to get Axl to let me sing It's So Easy with him. :max: Or TWAT.

Doing Time was the one song I wanted to hear that I didn't, the first 4 tracks from Hail to the King are my favourite. This Means War was epic at RIR with fireworks blasting from the stage in time with the intro.

At this point I think you'd need to take over all the vocals for TWAT :P

I ended up biting the bullet for the KISS/Def Leppard Toronto show. I had some money banked in my PayPal which I had totally forgotten about plus I found a deal that I couldn't pass up. Section 203 at the Molson. Works for me!

July 13th - Queen + Adam Lambert (Toronto - Air Canada Centre)

July 28th - Queen + Adam Lambert (Toronto - Air Canada Centre)

August 12th - KISS/Def Leppard (Toronto - Molson Amphitheatre)

August 22nd - Alice In Chains (Hamilton - FirstOntario Centre)

Seems like a decent summer I must say.

Up-and-coming Canadian progressive/death metal band, Anciients, are playing here in London on July 10th. May have to go to that. Their debut album was one of my favourites of 2013. Just wish I could've caught them with TesseracT, but oh well.

GNR - June 6/7

Baz - Aug 1

Deciding which of these I'd rather go to...

Alice In Chains - Aug 8

Slash - Aug 15

Slash is closer, and I haven't seen him yet... I'm leaning that way, but I'd like to do both. (He's playing a casino in between shows on the Aerosmith tour).

You've already seen AiC recently, right? Slash, easily, he puts on a great show, he'll blow your mind with Nightrain. I don't think AiC really mix up their setlists much, plus Slash said he'd play some new songs before the album is released.

Steel Panther coming up this Friday, will be my third (maybe fouth?) SP show. A group called Future Villians is opening, from what I've checked out on YT, should be a genuinely great opener.

Very conflicted on Slash this year. I don't want to pay Aerosmith prices (who I've seen twice) to see Slash play for 45 minutes. But his closest headling show is about 8 hours away from me.....

Foxy. Motherfuckin'. Shazam.

They just announced west coast dates, and tickets are super cheap :D I decided to go for the meet and greet VIP, which was $40: half hour early entry to meet the band, a poster, and a ticket (all GA). I can't wait :D

The show I just got tickets for is on August 9, and I can't really justify going back to Vancouver 5 days after I was just there, it gets too expensive taking the ferry back and forth. I might, however, be able to catch a ride to the AiC show and back to Vancouver the next day, so if I can make that happen I'm gonna.

90% of the reason I want to see Slash is to see/hear him play Nightrain, btw.

Soundgarden is performing Superunknown in its entirety in New York! But it's on June 2nd and I'll be in Vegas :( Sucks. Definitely would have made the trek for that.

I'm totally excited for Vegas and the Gn'R shows, but I'd be a liar if I said I wasn't a bit bummed I can't make this show  One of my favorite bands, performing one of my favorite albums in full. Damn. :(

Oh well, can't win 'em all.

2013 was a great year for me for concerts, seeing Kanye West for the first time, seeing Springsteen for the first time and two more times after that, Maiden for the first time and once more after that, but 2014's looking pretty decent:

6th April - GNR (with Duff!), Buenos Aires

19th May - Prince, Birmingham

23rd May - NIN, London

28th June - Walking Papers, Joe Bonamassa and Aerosmith, London

4th July - Faith No More, Soundgarden and Black Sabbath, London

11th July - Pearl Jam, Milton Keynes

12th July - Neil Young, London

20th August - Jane's Addiction, London

23rd October - Lady Gaga, London

12th November - Slash, Paris

2nd December - Slash, London

Prince and NIN were firsts for me, Soundgarden, Sabbath, Pearl Jam, Neil Young, Jane's Addiction and Lady Gaga will also be firsts. One band I missed out on last year that I need to see soon is Fleetwood Mac, been meaning to see them for years.

NIN was pretty good, but I was surprised by how much I loved Prince. Of the two, I'm more likely to see Prince again. I'd check out How to Destroy Angels if they ever did a Europe/UK tour, though. I was surprised to see that Prince sometimes does two shows a night (as he's doing in Paris in a couple of days)! He's a machine.

I don't think I can afford to go to any more shows this year or next! The exception I'd make is for a Daft Punk show, when on earth are they gonna tour Random Access Memories???!!!

Yeah... That's the second time this week I thought that too. Went to see Tori Amos and see changes the setlist each night, different cover and all! That would be a treat.
