Powerage5
He doesn't really love his fans. I think that's the problem. He went on a Facebook tirade a while back about how people shouldn't ever ask him for an autograph or a picture because he thinks it's rude. Someone who cares about his fans doesn't act like that. Cosmo
What? Never knew that about Tommy Lee... what an asshole. If these fucks hate each other, good thing this is the farewell tour then
Cosmo
What bothers me about Vince is his lack of breath. He can't even speak the words properly at many times. It's like "he hu un kow fe goo, he hu un... awy"
metallex78
The performance on Kimmel last night was out-fucking-standing, as usual. Vince sounds like shit, rest of the band sounds great. Shit, if this is their last go around as the Crue, why not get into shape and get your voice back, and give your fans a show worth remembering?Instead we get fatty, out of breath Vince, bringing the rest of the band down...They should do ths last tour with John Corabi instead, and play the underrated 1994 album. metallex78
I'll go see them on this last tour, seeing as I missed them the last time they toured. But I hope Vince sorts out his vocal issues by the time they hit Australia.I'm hoping we get one last studio album from them too, a mix of Dr Feelgood, and 1994 Crue would be a nice wrap up to their career. Sixes
I saw them on the Theatre Of Pain and Dr Feelgood tours. When I saw them at MSG in early 1991 or late 1990, can't remember...the crowd was so dead. And it really got to the band. Vince was pissed. He kept trying to get the crowd into it but it wasn't happening. That was the first sign I saw of the hair metal era dying out. bacardimayne
The performance on Kimmel last night was out-fucking-standing, as usual. Watched about 16 seconds of this. It's the first exposure I've ever had to live footage of the Crue. It's even worse than I had imagined. It sounded like the guitarist and bassist were playing completely different songs. I was fortunate enough not to hear any vocals, but I imagine those were just as bad if not worse. Sixes
i don't mind the crue but my god does that sound awful Edited January 30, 2014 by axl666axl666
magisme
They've fallen as far as Guns has fallen. Difference is, Guns used to be fuckin' great. Crue fell from already being shit. Edited January 30, 2014 by magisme
Powerage5
Merged since we were talking about the tour in both threads anyways.

Motley have been piping in background vocals and some even say bass lines for years now. Their live shows are far from live. Wfa is a Motley nut swinger (not that there's anything wrong with that) so his opinions on the band are gonna be biased. IMO the last great Crue performance that I saw was in 1994 when John Corabi was the lead singer. In 2005 on the Carnival Of Sins tour it also felt like they weren't mailing it in.

wfuckinga
Why was a thread about the tourmerged with the thread about the band in general? Whoever did it didn't even spell Mötley Crüe right

WhazUp
I saw them back in January of 2009 at a casino in CA - 8th row in a 4,000 seat venue for a warm up night for the tour. The show was pretty cool, Vince was definitely the weak link though he just isn't a fantastic live singer. But Mick Mars kicked ass, at least in 2009 he was still a great guitarist and along with Tommy were the strong points of the showI think the time is right for Motley, they had a decent album with SOLA but I can't see them writing anything anything else that wouldn't be just a rehash of everything they have already done. Mix that with Mick's health and Vince's supar live vocals it isn't necessarily the worst thing in the world for them to move on to other things Edited January 30, 2014 by WhazUp

Iron MikeyJ
I've heard the rumors of Vince being completly shot, but after watching that Jimmy Kimmel performance, wow. I know Axl has always been better than Vince anyways, but shit man. Axl at his worst now, is still head and shoulders better than Vince at his best. No wonder they are calling it a day, their singer is fucking DONE. Bon Jovi should be next, because Jon can't sing for shit anymore either.I know this is a low bar, but it has given me some faith in Axl....
Powerage5
So I just found out Alice isn't playing the Syracuse show. I was really bummed. Then I got thinking...one of Alice's favorite venues (And golf courses) in the country is a half hour east of Syracuse...and the Syracuse show is Oct. 29...and there's a one week break in the Motley tour following Syracuse...maybe I finally get to see Alice on Halloween this year!
