I think the difficulty of Rock The Blues Away on Brian and the demanding backing vocals means it'll only get played in rotation. My guess is Baptism by Fire will be rotated with that and Miss Adventure. As with Coachella, The Jack and High Voltage will probably be rotated for the audience participation (although I hope they favour the former) and Dog Eat Dog with Sin City.

I'm glad they've ditched the strip and demoted The Jack to a rotation song. It was time, and the shows will be that much tighter as a result.

My friend who hadn't seen them before said that what he loved about it was that it was just full speed ahead for 2 hours. No dead moments, no slow songs, no ballads, no unnecessary shit. Just 2 hours of non stop rock and roll.

I encourage any of you who hasn't already to purchase the High-resolution (24 bit/96kHz) version of the album, on HD Tracks or Qobuz depending of your zone. The mastering isn't compressed like it is on the CD and it sounds miles better than the LP not to mention the higher level of detail dur to the resolution. Totally worth it.

Apple's streaming service and the celebrity DJs on it are a sign of the times of FM radio dying, more than it having to do with record sales. AC/DC gets distributed through major labels but they own their masters and publishing so they're probably going to do better than artists who have to get the money doled out through the label. They also have an idea of what songs people like, the Brian Johnson era of the catalog gets a cash injection and not just Back in Black.

AC/DC Drummer Phil Rudd Sentenced

Longtime AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has been sentenced to eight months of home detention after pleading guilty to threatening to kill a former employee. Rudd was also charged with possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.

The 61-year-old faced up to seven years in prison on the threatening to kill charge at Tauranga District Court on New Zealand’s North Island. Rudd was arrested last November, after an angry incident related to the handling of an August 2014 launch of his first-ever solo album.

Rudd pleaded guilty in April, admitting that he’d asked an associate to have the victim “taken out” in exchange for cash, vehicles and a home. He also acknowledged directly threatening the victim. A subsequent search of Rudd’s apartment on Nov. 6 then reportedly turned up 0.478 grams of methamphetamine and 91 grams of cannabis, according to multiple published reports.

Rudd complicated matters with a pair of violent incidents which ultimately found the drummer in handcuffs yet again. He was reprimanded in court for breaching the terms of his bail, reportedly by making contact with a witness. Rudd’s lawyer also abruptly withdrew from the case.

Ultimately, as this sordid story has played out, AC/DC was forced to move on. Their well-received new album, Rock or Bust, was released within days of Rudd’s original guilty plea. AC/DC then brought back former drummer Chris Slade to fill in on subsequent tour dates.

Joke of a sentence but contrary to what a bunch of delusional fans at ACDCFans.net think his time with the band is done. They think this magically means Slade will be out in eight months.

I guess Angus saying he's done with him doesn't count.

“I’m going to be back. I’ve never been fitter; I’ve never felt better; I’ve never been psychologically or physically in better shape my whole life, and I love playing. I’ve realized who I am and what I can do and I just want a chance to go out there and show everyone who the man is. I’m the man.”

I really doubt he will be back... but it sure would be great.
