11/05/16 Buenos Aires, AR - River Plate Stadium *2nd Show*

What a great night!

This was my fourth show in a row (Santiago, Rosario and both Buenos Aires shows). No doubt they keep getting better night after night.

it was great to see Steven up there with the guys, even for just one song. People went nuts!

Axl asked the crowd to take a step back after a few songs. Slash broke a string during DTJ but he managed to play the solo perfectly.

During KOHD Axl thanked Argentina for their support over the years.

Havent kept up with the shows since the NA leg ended. Any new songs been played or still the same setlist?

Same setlist, Axl's vocals are kinda weak, Adler gets to play 1 song instead of 2. (at least for these 2 Buenos Aires shows)

Unbeliveable how bad Axl sounds. I'm not 100% sure it's because he CAN'T or he CHOOSES not to use his raspy mid-range voice. I know it sounds bad without it. Really bad.

Setlists are boring and predictable.

I'm glad they reunited and are active. GNR is an OK band nowadays but they could be better.

Oh and he sounds exactly the same live. Cell phones and cameras don't remove rasp from one's voice.

Wouldn't have noticed him either if you hadn't mentioned him. Poor guy. Lol.

CW, NR, and E wouldn't be on the setlist without him there now would they?

I think maybe they would have to figure out a way to play Estranged (either Axl or Melissa playing the piano or something like that) but NR would be fine with only Axl on piano and Slash was doing a rockin' version of CW with SMKC (I'm sure some people were unhappy because of Myles' voice but no one complained about the lack of piano :P).

@BorderlineCrazy

This is awesome for Adler in Roxy!!

What was the reason for happening?

Did you attend?

How did you find about?

What is this band? I thought at least Adler band would perform with Steven...

So many questions....

Same questions, it sounds that he rehearsed with this band prior, the end of YCBM is sounds rehearsed (could be the talked about it before, but still). This looks something more elaborate than "Oh, hey Steven is in the audience, come play". This sounds like it was planned in advanced.

Don't know what to say anymore!

I was REALLY tired before the show even started but that didn't prevent me from having another wonderful night, still enjoyed it to the fullest.

Axl talked a bit more this time (told us that it's beautiful here and that we're beautiful and later on he thanked us for our support "not only now but throughout the years") and did a great job both as a singer and frontman. He sat down for a moment during Coma, maybe he considered the possibility of singing it that way as being in the throne made it a bit easier for him. It didn't last more than a few seconds, though so I'm not sure if it was that or what was that about. Anyway, he was amazing once again!!

Duff got better and better show after show, he had HUGE stage presence, the bass sounded sick (if there's a video, listen to the bass on Civil War's verses!), his backing vocals were awesome (except on Patience)... everytime he got close, the crowd reacted to him. It means a lot having him back full time as a member of the band, the way it's supposed to be.

Steven is the most adorable guy in the world. Needless to say, he rocked My Michelle, he played it to perfection. On top of that, his smile and charisma made an already incredible night a whole lot better. Even though it's true that I wish he would have been allowed to play more, I'm extremely happy he got to be a part of it because what I really wanted (long before there were rumours of him coming or anything) was to have him here to recieve all of our love. There are many fans who love him and I wanted him to see it, to feel it. I'm really satisfied because I'm sure it meant a lot to him and he'll never forget it (and neither will I).

Richard was great again. I don't think he's the best fit for this band but he's a really good guitar player and always delivers, if someone from Axl's band was to be in GNR, I'm glad it's him. Frank on the other hand, I don't think he's a bad drummer at all but I do think he's a terrible fit for GNR, he doesn't seem to get it IMO. He's come a long way since april, though, I don't think he reaches the point of ruining songs anymore, which is good. And Melissa, well I'm not a fan of the effects and all those things that she's supposed to be there to bring but I don't think she has a negative effect in any song and I totally love her voice.

And then there's that other guy... I don't even know what to say, I love him so much that I could never be objective at all but whatever... After he quit GNR, I've seen a lot of people talk shit about him, claim they were glad he was gone, calling him mediocre, and even say his replacements were better than him. SLASH is a living legend, he doesn't need to prove himself at all but it's been a beautiful experience to see him own the shows and prove all those haters wrong to the point of questioning their sanity. He's an absolute monster like nothing else I've ever seen, that "half-man, half-beast" speach is the pure truth, every single word of it. Even when I might disagree with some of his decisions/actions since rejoining the band, I'm certain that the idea of him being back just for the money is absolute bullshit.  I saw him there having the time of his life, smiling Steven style, going crazy and making sure every single person in the audience left the place with their minds blown.

I could go on forever... I mean, this motherfucker broke a string just as he started playing Double Talkin' Jive, went on like nothing happend and just nailed the fn' song, outro solo included. I had already seen him 7 times prior to this GNR thing, yet he never ceases to amaze me. A new GNR album would help him cement his status as a legend (and Axl's as well) but regardless of what anyone else thinks, he's already the greatest to me and that's all I care about! :slash:

Last but not least, I'd like to express my gratitude to the one and only Izzy Stradlin. He was the only original member who didn't join the party but without his vision and immense talent, there would have been no party at all. Thank you so much, Izzy! You too are a legend to me!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now it's Brazil's turn!! I'm so excited for all our friends over there!! I hope you guys will get to see Steven and the band will introduce those songs that have been soundchecked to the setlist. But even if none of that happens, I assure you, you're gonna have the best of times!! Enjoy it as much as you can, it goes by fast but it will leave and indelible mark in your hearts! Cheers, guys!! ^_^

:headbang:excelente!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

gracias por contar lo que dijo axl, no se escucho de este lado!!!!!!

I would love to hear Axl play Estranged though :) if that means November Rain goes then so be it.

I doubt Axl would play Estranged even if they drop November Rain.

I would like to see Axl playing the instrumental of TIL on Piano though.

If he would, I think he'd have done it by now, it took him long enough to add it back to the setlist as with Civil War, so I'm grateful for what we get. He should do a small club piano gig just for us
