It's not to suggest the setlist or even which register the singer will use (especially if the singer doesn't ask for this kind of advice). It's basically for instructing him how to project his voice in order to not cause (further) damage. Vocal coach could advise him what songs he should drop or something but that would require both to analyze every song on the setlist.
