vicson
The sound was so-so. Axl was great on the low voice, middle and high he struggled a lot. Nice energy though.

As soon as he sang the verse in his upper range it sounded bad and his volume went down considerably. When he sang it low it was better if they are playing that then Axl should sing all the verses in his lower range and only go up for "I know it looks like I'm insane". So Overall 👎 thought ptu sounded much better too, Melissa was giving it a lot more too

So Overall 👎 thought ptu sounded much better too, Melissa was giving it a lot more too In the other shows he sang all the verses in his higher voice and it didn't sound good. So it was better now when he sang the first verse (on the stream) in his low voice, but yeah, I don't know why he went high again on the next verse.
We love Axl Rose
He sang the 2nd and 3rd verse in his lower voice, but the 4th verse was Mickey again, I don't know why he didn't use a lower voice for that verse as well. But this is progress and for the first time he sang the verses in his lower voice. Mostly he should only sing the bridge with higher voice, everything else in a lower voice. It seems that Axl or rather Team Brazil has been visiting the forum and accepted our suggestions. @Blackstar
We love Axl Rose
You got the opportunity to hear Locomotive for the first time, im glad for you. @elektra_reghaired Probably the best version with NITL lineup.
Gordon Comstock
Locomotive sounds great when Axl sings the verses with his natural voice. Get Melissa to double the vocals and it would sound even better! The difference when he switches back to the weak mid-voice is ridiculous, they may as well have turned his mic off for the "taking time for quiet consolations" verse, and then he comes right back in at proper volume for the last line and the chorus
Popular Post elektra_reghaired
Well, I got my Locomotive. Now I can sleep happy Axl sounded great in his low range, a little bit struggled in the middle range, but it doesn't matter, I was so excited for this song. However, it is really weird that people from the fan pit, with GC tickets, react that they are listening this for the first time in their lives. I was the only one singing this and everybody was watching me like I am insane. 5

Old_school_gnr_fan
One can hope that Wichita Lineman is retired for good whenever the band gets around to rolling out that elusive new song
Popular Post Amir
This post was recognized by janrichmond! "You've won a badge for your great content and the mix up with your ticket made me laugh!" Amir was awarded the badge 'All Things Considered' In October 2012 I went to a Slash & Myles Kennedy gig at Brixton Academy in London. At that show they played Out Ta Get Me and Welcome to the Jungle (with Todd Kerns doing an impressive job on vocals). After the gig I saw a bunch of fans queued up outside. I joined the queue, and we were promptly told "no photographs". Slash came out not long after and signed a bunch of autographs. This has been the only time I have ever interacted with him. Me: It's great that you're playing more GNR songs, would love to hear Locomotive and Coma some time! Slash <while signing my ticket>: Haha yeah... that's never gonna happen. Well, it took more than a decade, but it finally came true Was so gutted when they started playing it in 2019 but they then skipped it at the show I went to on that leg (Guadalajara). But when I saw they were playing it at the first few gigs of this Euro tour, I knew I had to go to more than just the London Hyde Park show. It's funny that that overall positive review for the Paris show mentioned the sound being muddy while I had no problems from where I was stood. At this show, from my seat, the mix was all over the place. Could barely hear Slash's solo in Chinese Democracy, and Axl's voice seemed to disappear sometimes like the last verse of Locomotive. Still, had a fun time, beside Locomotive it was worth it for the crowd reactions to SCOM and NR. As hardcore fans it's easy to forget just how much these two songs mean to millions of people around the world, and it's always uplifting to see crowds get into them. When they brought out the acoustic guitars, I thought, "Oh shit, they've already played Patience so this can only mean..." Don't get me wrong, Axl & co. do a fine job on Wichita Lineman, but their insistence on playing it outside of North America where almost no one knows Glen Campbell is odd. But then after that finished, Axl said "Continuing with our train fetish..." and I thought, "OH SHIT!" 1am here in Bucharest and I have to leave for the airport in a couple of hours for a 6am flight back to the UK, heading straight to the office from the airport. I'm not normally much of a coffee or tea drinker but I'm definitely gonna need some caffeine to get through the day Had a great time at the four shows I've been to this year, happy to tick off three songs I really wanted to hear live, and the band and crowds have been a blast. To quote Axl right after they played Locomotive, "that was fun!" When will I see GNR again? Perhaps when they play new music... 25

If you want to hear fans singing deep cuts, GA or go to the first few rows of golden circle is the only place you see it IMO. Any time I've been in the pit / golden circle the crowd is rarely that aware of deeper material.

It's very odd and probably speaks to GNR's current position musically as well as to a more widespread issue with music in general being listened to more than ever but cared about less than ever.

Actually, I came alone to this one, had a really great time there, liked the settlist and that is only important for me at this moment. Probably you are right about that fact that GC is for people who can afford more expensive tickets or hardcores. I was standing in the third row, but somewhere between Duff and Fortus, so all hardcores surely were closer to the middle, and I stayed stuck in the first type of crowd. But again, nevermind, I was enjoying myself 🙂

Popular Post reayj2003
Just at the airport headed back to UK. Thought it was a great gig. I was front centre on the rail and it sounded very good from there. The mix was very strong. The small stage actually gave a great experience close up as the big three were all close to each other. They are using the in-house sound for the last shows so if the mix wasn’t great further back that could be why. Axl wasn’t as chatty as Hyde Park but seemed in a business like mood. Great setlist. He had a guest at the side of stage. one memorable moment was one of the little kids was watching from the side and waved at him and cheers looked so happy as he waved back. It was not my intention to say that I don't care if the people enjoy the show, especially hardcores, I really want for everyone to have a good time at the show. My statement was mostly directed to my certain situations when I am surrounded by the people who just takes photos and videos and look like they don't know what are they doing there.
Popular Post Alexmee239
Where do I start? Damn it was hot, I don’t think it was this hot at any of the previous shows I have attended, there were aprox. 36 degrees Celsius. I went with my friends but I somehow managed to join the early entry group ( the person checking the tickets wasnt really paying attention to what my ticket actually was ) and I got into the venue two hours earlier, heard soundcheck, bought some merch and dipped cause I couldn’t let my friends alone. So back to the normal GC queue, we stood in the blazin sun for about an hour and the moment they gave us the greenlight i sprinted so hard I was actually the first person to reach the entrance but the ticket wouldnt scan (not my fault but the scanning machine’s) so I just told the guy there “Let me the fuck in, your thing is not working” and just walked by without getting anything scanned, ran to the rail and got in the second row on Slash’s side. Many people fainted around me while waiting the 4 hours until they got on, there could’ve been some fans or something to blow on the fans cause it was unbearable. They were 40 minutes late and I was afraid it would mean a shortened set but luckily there was no curfew, I think they went late on purpose so the heat would go away a bit knowing they could still perform the whole set. The anticipiation grew bigger and bigger until the intro started playing and I got goosebumbs. The crowd around me wasnt the best but certainly wasnt the worst I’ve seen, the first few songs the energy was really high. Axl seemed really happy, was always laughing and telling jokes to the crew in the inner mic. When I saw this I knew it will be a great show. Slash was also very goofy and did all kinds of silly poses and dances to the crowd, which he didnt do at the previous shows I’ve been to. The mix was ok-ish, there were some times I couldnt hear Slash properly but that was about it. The tempo of WTTJ kinda ruined the hype around the song, it is too slow. The highlights for me were You Could Be Mine, Nightrain, Dont Cry and of course Locomotive! Hard Skool was ruined by some idiot trying to get in front that I had to fight off. Was nice to see SOYL again. Civil War got a nice reaction since many Ukrainians came as refugees in Romania. Axl almost dropped his mic again, but he recovered fast, also Slash spat off the stage before his RQ solo and it landed on a security guard. The set was pretty standard, Sorry was a nice addition and Axl sounded good on it, but then came the encore, and I thought all I was getting was Wichita Lineman and PC but them BOOM, Axl said they were gonna “double down on their train fetish” and the intro to Locomotive was played. I was in awe, it was a song, along TWAT, I always wished to see live ever since 2019 when they brought it back. Axl sang in his lower tone and it sounded sooo good. It really was the best iteration with the reunion lineup, it was just incredible. Well except when Axl randomly decided the 4th verse should be sang high again and we just couldnt hear him, it was such a big difference between the other verses and the 4th that people around me literally thought his mic cut off. It wasn’t the mix’s fault, Axl’s voice just completely dissapeared there. Don’t Cry should be a staple, maybe I’m subjective as it is my favourite song but it is just so beautiful live, I actually cried. Overall, another beautiful concert, a really nice encore, if you haven’t seen them yet on this tour or if you are on the verge, you HAVE to go, don’t miss it. I’m already thinking about going to Athens, probably won’t happen but I need something to be looking forward to, I was so excited for this gig and now that it’s over I feel a sense of emptiness. Only this band can make me feel so happy and so sad in such a short time! I need to see them again soon. 8
Heider95
I listened to a video of Sorry on Instagram with full baritone played last night..goose bumps. Then he switched in the chorus and he just disappeared
