You can express criticism in any format you prefer, but one thing I absolutely refuse to do is insult an individual, regardless of their fame or lack thereof. It brings to mind a situation when there was a fantastic opportunity for fans to establish a respectful connection with Fernando (and TB) in a civil manner in the War Room discord channel. However, some incredibly foolish individuals ruined it by posting memes and offensive content about his mother. That is completely unacceptable to me. Not that I'd ever take his side, but yes, there's a time and a place. Edited July 12, 2023 by jamillos

They also point out that the band was late like in the past but don’t blame the organizers for the worst parking experience ever, we were stuck in the traffic jam for 2 hours (couldn’t walk due to my knee injury) and were glad that ultimately we only missed two songs. I am sure the traffic was the reason for the delay. My impression was that everyone around us had a blast as well! I am usually more a Slash fan but Axl owned the stage! Whoa, let's say that "partly" is the word indeed... because for that kind of luxury he's undoubtedly lived in his entire life, I'd make sure I'd cure myself from such "trauma" pretty fucking quick, I can tell you that. Or at least ask someone to do this part of the job for me. After all, appearing in the social media for 15 minutes every few years or so and acting civil can't be that demanding, can it. Anyway, yeah, maybe we otherwise would have had more hints and tidbits by now had the communication been better on both sides. Oh well.

However, unfortunately, this is not a normal band. It's like game of politics if you know what I mean. In order to get insights we have to deal with a rich spoiled 40 year old kid who's never had a real job to be honest. And by mocking him or making fun of his mom, fans didn't achieve anything either. That's all I'm saying. Edited July 12, 2023 by ©GnrPersia

Don’t know what these journalists are talking about, but maybe they had some vinegar for breakfast… Jeez what a review.... I was also in the golden circle and actually had one of the best evenings in a long time. I saw them last year in Hannover after not seeing them since the 90's and was then already pleasantly suprised, but yesterday was in my opinion even much better. What I really loved was the pure energy from the whole band. Very nice uptempo, lots of enthousiasm which looked very genuine to me. Ok Axl struggles on some points, but he makes it up at so many points with his whole being, the raw power he still has in both his physical presence on stage and as well in his voice. I finally had a place in the golden circle where I could really enjoy Slash (always my favorite gunner) and I am a professional composer and sound designer for more then 20 years with a lot of experience and speaking from a professional perspective I can only say that this is a PRO with not enough capitals to emphasize what a top musician Slash is, so the article speaking about Slash that he just plays the solo's hasty and sloppy is an insult and shows me the reviewer really lacks both knowledge and an independent view. This reviewer had as I read it already made up his mind before he attended the concert. But I had a heck of evening and saw only enthousiams and positive folks around me and when walking back to the car I didn't hear any negative thing, the contrary, people where enthousiastic and seemed like they had a nice evening. Which it was! 7 1

Yeah but in the past one could argue if they liked or not Axls vocal style and singing... Now things are different because we fans know for a fact that if Axl sung like this back in the day he wouldnt have been the legend he is...at times its been embarrasing (like RIR the raincoat show or even the selects like Locomotive, Dead Horse, etc) Axl sounds like his older self in his low voice, the other versions of his vocals arent there anymore. We still enjoy watching the legend, but if you listened to this performances from scratch, you would laugh or feel sorry for the singer

If the fans actually attending the concerts have a great time and liked Axs performance (and I have yet to hear someone on this forum say they were disappointed yet), then some random reviewer doesn't matter a smidge. People who were actually at the concert aren't going to decide they had a bad time because of a bad review in the newspaper. No they go home and tell their friends and family what a good time they had, and that attracts other people to concerts, and the ball continues rolling from there. GN'R has been getting terrible reviews for over a decade now. GN'R has also played multiple sold out stadiums on this leg, 7 years into a tour with no music and no promotion to help propel them. At some point you have to ask yourself why people keep coming back? It's obviously not because of reviews or the unflattering videos online showed to non-fans who would never have bought tickets anyway. Popular Post Robert39
Still buzzing from the gig yesterday, they performed a great show !! Axl worked his ass off, he sounded better than last year in Groningen. I do think the setlist also works better for him, in the beginning the low register songs. Axl can not sing like he used to be, but i am going to a LIVE rockshow...... if i want something perfect i would go to the opera. the reviews from the NRC or Telegraaf, you can't take that shit serious. even when Axl sings everything perfect, they wil write shit about him............ they probably weren't even there !!! My son(11) ,wife and I had a great time enjoying the best band of the world !! In our opinion at least

colonizedmind
Axl said Frank had tried a few other requests...wonder which two got the turn down? General and Perhaps? Frank did say we know and want to play it.... This guy's on the forum and has some amazing close up shots (barrier dude?) Nice to see.Michelle back, Axl is definately trying to enunciate certain lines/words to help, seems like a deliberate attempt to get round the current vocal limitations....he also seems to end songs better than he start them, anyone notice that? Another totally not logical thing about his voice! Gotta love that dude at the start praying for "THIS I LOVE"!!! colonizedmind
When did Ax start singing the chorus of "Better" in his deep voice? Certainly better than before...fucker of a song to sing.
