jimb0 Posted February 24, 2013 Share Posted February 24, 2013 I think adding Chris and the third guitarist was a very conscience decision Axl made possible to fatten up the sound and take less pressure off his vocals.There are classic rasp parts he's still doing: Jungle, EZ, End of NR, Don't Cry (and please remember) I am totally convinced at this point it's just a conscience effort to lengthen his performing career. Even though his voice was nowhere near as good as Rock Am Ring for instance, this video captured the live concert feeling better than any pro-shot of the new band we have had so far.Would love the 3d concert to top this but it doesn't seem likely ! So more to look forward too. I don't think this will be released on Blu ray now, I think the Vegas show will. This show looks like it's being sold out to different TV stations and cinemas over the globe, so there getting there profits from it that way. If GNR were into releasing more albums it could have been a special edition digipack free concert DVD type thing but that's pretty much out the window from no new album announcement.
