ColdHeartBreaker
Before The General was hyped and talked about, we had Prostitute. It was the song which got brought up in quotes and there seemed to be a real buzz about it in the fan base. I know some people were expecting a blistering rocker and were disappointed with the eventual leak. (Song 2)To me it's one of my favourites from Chinese and perhaps in my top-ten Guns songs. Lyrically it is superb and the outro is perfect.
bran
one of my favorites. i wish the outro would go on forever

I think it's a kick ass track and the perfect way to end the album.
Broskirose
It's the second best GNR song behind Estranged. The production on the album version is a little shitty though, but the song itself is spectacular. I'd love to hear a 1999 version.
magisme
It's pretty good. Could have been great if production wasn't awful, Axl's lyrics didn't suck and Axl sang it well. Beginning of the song is complete crap. The outro is terrific.
Nosaj Thing
In all honesty, I can't remember Prostitute at all. I'll find it on Youtube and give my impression on it.
ManetsBR
Definetly. It's a fantastic song, I love it. I just don't like the production. So, I made a Clean version, which I prefer: http://www.4shared.com/mp3/s6XfQVa9/Guns_N_Roses___Prostitute_Clea.htmlThere aren't so much noisy guitars, the piano is way up, the drum machine is cut off sometimes... Since I made that version, I've never listened to the original version again. Edited November 18, 2013 by ManetsBR

GN'R Lies
TIL and Prostitite are the 2 best songs on CD .... In my humble opinion of course.

I listen to my own mixes rather than the originals whenever possible.
ManetsBR
Can you upload it, please? I really like Catcher In The Rye, but I also think the mix is really bad.Hey Coma16, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
bacardimayne
Good song executed horribly. I enjoy listening to myself humming it more than listening to the actual song. chevelle
The production is rough, but I still think it's one of their best songs. This is the kind of stuff I wanted from CD, something that took chances and did different things than the old GNR sonically.
Scumcat Esq.
No, it didn't.I know some people were expecting a blistering rocker and were disappointed with the eventual leak. (Song 2)That's exactly what I felt listening to it for the first time.
Tyler Drama
I wish Frank would've used the double-bass pedal when they played it live.
bacardimayne
It's weird really. Whenever I hear the song in my head, it sounds good and makes me want to listen to it, but when I actually listen to it it's so disappointing.

I do think it could have been a huge hit hand the band at that time want to promote chinese
Ace Nova
Personally, one of my favorites from CD. The one song I can still blast on full volume and not get tired of. Close to a classic...a little overworked....but good nonetheless. Edited November 18, 2013 by Kasanova King
themadcaplaughs
Always found it pretty "blah" when I first listened to the album obsessively in 2008-2009. I was of the opinion that "This I Love" should have ended the album. About a year ago, I finally listened to the album from beginning to end again for the first time since then (tracks from the album would pop up on shuffle every now and again, but I mainly put the record aside) and I was very pleasantly surprised by how much I loved "Prostitute." Brain and Buckethead really give it their all in the song.
Powerage5
Just finished. Who wrote and played the solos?Pretty sure it's Bucket. Too lazy to check though I wish Frank would've used the double-bass pedal when they played it live. The double kick is a huge part of the solo breaks, absolutely agree. That was hardly the worst thing about it live though

Broskirose
The solos are probably my least favorite part. I would have preferred some more traditional Robin solos over Buckets whammy pedal shredding.
