I mentioned a Beyonce type release a few months ago and I was shot down pretty quick.

that usually happens on here

But to answer the question to this thread...hell yeah!

Would be nice if Axl hopped on twitter one day just to say "Fuck it, here's the album" and put it on Soundcloud.

Bowie kind of started the "surprise release" but it was more like a month's notice, he didn't do interviews for it but made a few statements.

Maybe if producers were asking him for new music for a movie or TV show, he might finally go "okay, it's time".

Who knows! It could be 2016 machinery its just a curtain of steam to catch us in total surprise.

Very unlikely but yeah! I vote Nov. 2015!

I thought something like that.. What if the original lineup were recording behind the scenes.. Then BOOM.. They announce the reunion, tour and new music all at once?

There's only 14 Fridays left in 2015.

If it was 13 Friday's we might be up all night to get lucky.

15 years to finish, two days to release.

I'd be more surprised by that level of excitement than the release.

If they're gonna release the remix record or rerelease CD (which I think are the most viable options at this juncture) then I think they would benefit from a surprise release.

I'd walk into the store like Ben Afflack at the end of Good Will Hunting and say "the son of a bitch finally did it...he finally did it." Then I'd walk out with my hands in my pocket and a grin on my face and let out a small laugh, then turn around and look at the display one last time, I'd shake my head and continue on my way.

Any release, surprise or not would be cool. I'd love it if they did it the way U2 did it so I could see everyone who thought it was bush league and a big insavion of privacy and right to choice for U2 to "force" their album onto everyone praise Axl for such a smart move. It would be awesome.

Considering the fact that there were no lines at 95% of the Best Buy stores on the first day for the release of CD, I doubt there would be a hoard of people rushing in this time around for the sequel.

Why would they do that?

One album in 20-plus years and then do a surprise release for the next one?

Lol. And some people on here claim that CD would have sold more but the general public just didn't know about it. Now they want a surprise release?
