Popular Post Subtle Signs Posted March 21, 2016 Popular Post Share Posted March 21, 2016 (edited) I remember asking Duff about a reunion back in late October after a Kings Of Chaos show( you can see how thrilled he was to meet me again in my avatar) He said something to the effect of "I'm happy to take pictures and sign autographs but it's too early in the morning for this shit (reunion questions)" It was about 6 AM and we had stayed overnight the Casino where the show was held the night before. All we had to go on at the time was Slash saying he and Axl were friends again. I'm not sure if this was before or after the report from that random website about the band reuniting that spawned a long thread on here. The point being that I knew Duff wouldn't spill the beans to a random fan but I had to ask anyway. I also remember him saying something like "Do you know how many times a day I get asked the reunion question? " I said "Yes,but how many since Axl and Slash became friends again?" He said "Where did you hear that?" I said " Slash in a TV interview" He smiled ,thanked us for being fans and walked away,presumably to head home from Canada.I guess the point of the story is,yes Steven is a grown ass man but his enthusiasm for GN'R may not have allowed him to contain himself in a large public setting like the Whiskey show. Yeah, when I met Duff at one of the book signings there was a short Q&A and he was very proactive about cutting off reunion questions too. It was before the RnR Hall of Fame and he basically put his hands up and said something like, "I hope we will handle it with as much grace as possible. That's all I'm saying on reunion issues. Thanks for understanding." He doesn't seem to want to discuss anything to do with reunions or his relationships with the other band members in interviews or any forums (such as meetings with fans) where it could possibly be misconstrued. That's the smartest way to handle it IMHO. Duff's able to filter himself; other GnR people (cough Steven) not so much.
