Myles Kennedy: We Have Recently Had Communication About Reconvening Slash & The Conspirators; New Album

Recommended Posts

Again, it's just someone asking him what's the plan regarding Slash and his solo band (like most interviews regarding him seems to ask nowadays) on top of Alter Bridge stuff.  It's not like Myles is outright begging for Slash to do another album with him and the Conspirators.  I got to bold that for emphasis.  Sometimes, when you got a good project going and it is on a delay for various reasons, interviewers want to know what's up with that stuff.  It seems like the standard nowadays.

Again with that myles stuff?? Sorry , its not gonna happen.  Mr myles should start to think in join someone else. Maybe Sambora..  Haha. Wait...

Love it-go hook up with Richie.  And agree- the Slash/Myles stuff aint gonna happen.  Do we dare say "Not in this lifetime" ?  With Guns basically the biggest band in world again (well- top 5--7) and Axl/Slash getting along so well, kicking ass, everyone seemingly happy as hell I don't see them just walking away anytime soon.  I mean after the SA leg they have Asia, Europe etc...and then back to the US at some point to hit the places they skipped.

Yes.. GNR its again the undisputable greatest band in the world.

Is funny, cause. Well.. Gnr is so important, relevant ( besides tops earnings, fee per show, being wanted for pretty much every country in the world ..etc...etc) that a great band like metallica choose to make coments about GNR to promote their inminent upcoming album ...   And even the stones made a coment about "GNR" just a month or so before their álbum release.

When gnr decide to give us new music.. Well .  eeeeee llllllllets get ready to rumbleeeeee

Also maybe Myles is doing the passive aggressive move by basically saying 'your move' to Slash.  Trying to force the issue...have it come to a head.

He doesn't seem like the person to do that. And why would he need to do that? AB is still his main band, SMKC was always a side project.

Slash will release music no mater what. And since there are serious doubts whether Axl will ever release music again, it makes sense for Slash will continue putting out music with SMKC.

Wow, so much shade being thrown there.

Wait, it wasn't an attack to Axl. I'm sorry if it came out that way. I just meant he's a pretty easy going guy, he doesn't have "lead singer disease". As far as I know, the only thing he's an annoying maniac about is germs :P

Especially now that they already have a record pretty much written. Maybe there won't be a fourth SMKC record as long as there's GNR but why wouldn't they release the third if the only thing they have to do is go to pre production and then record it?

Alter Bridge just released one hell of an album and Slash is making millions with GN'R. Everybody seems happy doing what they're doing at the moment

And if we could get some new material out of gnr then the fans would REALLY be happy as well

At a certain point (most likely 2018) GN'R are gonna take a break. So I'm sure during that period Slash will get straight back to work with Myles and hopefully Axl will get to work with Angus. After an album and tour by both then they can do the same together in GN'R. All refreshed and revitalised.

Yes the axl/angus thing would be nice. But hey.., GUNS N' FUCKIN ROSES ALREADY HAD ENOUGH REST. ;)

Myles needs to stop cock-blocking the next GNR album. Fact is, Axl being Axl will likely want some downtime after his touring commitments come to an end with GNR and Slash will go back to Myles, which will write off the next two years while they write/record/tour their mediocre album, meaning that a new GNR album before 2020 is a pipedream. And for what? A new Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators album?? C'mon, we've all had enough of that shit.

Myles, do the decent thing, and stick to your own shitty band. Slash has wasted enough of his decent riffs on you over the years (imagine how much better Anastasia would've been if he'd of given the song to Axl instead of Myles), he needs to start stockpiling his best ideas for the next GNR album.

We need to find Slash a new hobby to keep him occupied while he's waiting around for Axl to be "ready."

But what if Slash likes to make cock rock albums with Myles? maybe he actually likes his voice, even if we do not.

Or maybe he just doesn't care.

But it's not Kennedy's fault Slash wants to work with him cause Axl won't move his ass.

Another riff in the vault. In the best scenario we could speculate about it as some do about Atlas Shrugged

I, for one, is looking forward to Slash/Myles doing some more stuff together.

I'm also intrigued by Slash/Axl combo too.

Both can bands can co-exist.

Cock rock?  What is that, exactly?  And cock rock, whatever that means, crushes Axl's solo band's 15 songs of mid-tempo yawners in 25 years, 14 collectively of which landed on Wikipedia's list of all-time worst albums.  Slash, meanwhile, has stockpiled my iTunes and won Grammies, along with Duff.  Hell, even Adler has released more music than Axl.

Slash will release more badass music.  He holds the keys as to when and under what conditions.  Axl can never release another note of music without Slash on guitar.

If Slash had given 'Anastasia' to Axl, it would be now locked in the vault, awash in overdubs, unheard of. If Slash gives any of his riffs to Axl, they're just going to be abused by layers of tinkering before being thrown into the vault alongside all of the Chinese outtakes. Axl probably has some copyright thing meaning Slash cannot ever use them (I know Buckethead was incensed at not being able to use some of the riffs he'd submitted).
