The above two photos are from Seoul.

In Sydney I once had a Korean fried chicken puffle monstrosity:

I also had this southern fried chicken waffle sandwich beast:

And this fried chicken sandwich topped with truffle:

And more Korean fried chicken in Sydney:

Sydney was also the only time I've ever tried a Double Down from KFC :P

It is a foreign language to me, popeyes, etc.

Its a foreign language to everyone in England, they don't have em here, its a yank thing.  I've only heard of it cuz I listen to a lot of rap music and they reference shit in American culture.  Watch enough American films and music and you can a lot of very pointless knowledge.

That all looks delicious! What is the white powder on half the chicken in the first pic?

Ive never had korean fried chicken, I havent noticed it on the nearby korean joints.

That waffle thing :wow: monstrosity indeed!

I get the feeling $100 of truffles could even make my moms baked ziti a contender for "best chicken"

It is a whole food culture which I'm completely oblivious to.

I'll combine your threads and say a Chick-fil-a chicken sandwhich (with extra pickles).

Their politics suck but its undeniable they make a good sandwich.

Stream lining posts, I like it. If thats the same Chick-Fil-A chicken sandwich that KK listed in Sandwich Thread then I gotta say Ive never seen a fried chicken sandwich with out mayo, lettuce and tomato. I kinda cant imagine that, especially the mayo. So your extra pickles order makes sense to me since they add moisture and tang.

Im not much of a boycotter of chains restaurants either, I once bought coffees for my activists from a Tim Hortons before we started our protest out front (demanding increased wages for Tims staff).

I believe the deluxe version comes with lettuce and tomato, but its fine without it.

Their customer service is pretty top notch aswell

"Snow cheese", a cheap processed powdered cheese; would be disgusting in any other context but goes well with Korean fried chicken.

Same here to be honest. I'm still stuck on identifying the 90s stuff. Weniers, Corn Dogs, Twinkies, Scnitzels.

I'm willing to be corrected here but I think a Weiner is a thin sausage. A corn dog is a sort of thick pancake wrapped around a sausage (or Weiner if you prefer). A Scnitzel is, i think a bread based snack of some description.

Fuck knows what a Twinkie is though.

Schnitzel is German cuisine, a cutlet.

Twinkie has puzzled me ever since Winston ate one in Ghostbusters

Americans get things rather mixed up also. For instance they call all instant noodles ''ramen'', when in reality, in Japan the origin of the term, ramen is a distinct type of Chinese style noodle (which may or may not be dried).

And the ''biscuits'' thing - yes we have discussed that a lot on here haha, Guns N' Roses in 1985 pouring a jug of bisto gravy over a packet of digestives and surviving on that haha. No wonder they were all either on drugs or nutters, with a diet like that.

Americans also call the main course entrée. Very confusing and makes no sense at all.

This is the only time I've ever heard of Popeye's:
