Not that it matters really - it’s awesome footage of a great gig. The reason I asked was because someone asked me yesterday…and I thought it wasn’t a full pro-shot! The Nice Boys performance at that gig is 🔥.

Nice Boys and The Garden make that show in many ways to me personally. And, I like that Axl does Zero costume changes. He was way past it at that point.

Dude, Although it was posted a few months ago, it's on the band's YouTube channel.

There are also bootlegs on the band's YouTube channel. These are releases from bootleg labels that YouTube's algorithm automatically puts on the GN'R channel.

I made some quick analysis of the live tracks in order to decide what I should buy. I just share it if it helps :

- it's a total of 63 live tracks if we look at the box + deluxe 2CDS

- 5 of them were on Live era (maybe we will have original vocal track instead of reworked but as always we don't know)

LIVE IN NEW YORK - Ritz Theatre – May 16, 1991 5. DUST N’ BONES

LIVE IN LAS VEGAS - Thomas & Mack Center – January 25, 1992 1. NIGHTRAIN

LIVE IN LAS VEGAS - Thomas & Mack Center – January 25, 1992 10. ROCKET QUEEN

LIVE IN LAS VEGAS - Thomas & Mack Center – January 25, 1992 5. YESTERDAYS

LIVE IN LAS VEGAS - Thomas & Mack Center – January 25, 1992 8. MOTHER* / PARADISE CITY

- these bonus tracks on UYI1 and 2 2CDS are useless if you get the box because they are included in the full shows :

UY1CD2 LIVE IN LAS VEGAS - Thomas & Mack Center – January 25, 1992 2. BAD OBSESSION (Live in Las Vegas – 1/25/92)*

UY1CD2 LIVE IN NEW YORK - Ritz Theatre – May 16, 1991 3. RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO HELL (Live in New York – 5/16/91)*

UY1CD2 LIVE IN NEW YORK - Ritz Theatre – May 16, 1991 6. LIVE AND LET DIE (Live in New York – 5/16/91)*

UY1CD2 LIVE IN NEW YORK - Ritz Theatre – May 16, 1991 9. DON’T CRY (ORIGINAL) (Live in New York – 5/16/91)*

UY1CD2 LIVE IN NEW YORK - Ritz Theatre – May 16, 1991 10. YOU AIN’T THE FIRST (Live in New York – 5/16/91)*

UYI2CD2 LIVE IN NEW YORK - Ritz Theatre – May 16, 1991 1. PRETTY TIED UP (Live in New York – 5/16/91)*

UYI2CD2 LIVE IN LAS VEGAS - Thomas & Mack Center – January 25, 1992 3. VOODOO CHILD (SLIGHT RETURN) / CIVIL WAR / VOODOO CHILD (SLIGHT RETURN) (Live in Las Vegas – 1/25/92)*

UYI2CD2 LIVE IN NEW YORK - Ritz Theatre – May 16, 1991 4. YOU COULD BE MINE (Live in New York – 5/16/91)*

UYI2CD2 LIVE IN LAS VEGAS - Thomas & Mack Center – January 25, 1992 9. SO FINE (Live in Las Vegas – 1/25/92)*

UYI2CD2 LIVE IN LAS VEGAS - Thomas & Mack Center – January 25, 1992 13. ESTRANGED (Live in Las Vegas – 1/25/92)*

- At the end of the day if you get everything you will have :

1/ Full Ritz 91

2/ Full Vegas 92

3/ 10 "rare" songs from Paris 92

LIVE IN PARIS – Hippodrome de Vincennes - 6/6/92 4. ALWAYS ON THE RUN (with Lenny Kravitz) (Live in Paris – 6/6/92)*

LIVE IN PARIS – Hippodrome de Vincennes - 6/6/92 7. ATTITUDE (Live in Paris – 6/6/92)*

LIVE IN PARIS – Hippodrome de Vincennes - 6/6/92 11. IT’S ALRIGHT / NOVEMBER RAIN (Live in Paris – 6/6/92)*

LIVE IN PARIS – Hippodrome de Vincennes - 6/6/92 13. WILD HORSES (Live in Paris – 6/6/92)*

LIVE IN PARIS – Hippodrome de Vincennes - 6/6/92 5. DRUM SOLO (Live in Paris – 6/6/92)*

LIVE IN PARIS – Hippodrome de Vincennes - 6/6/92 6. SLASH SOLO (Live in Paris – 6/6/92)*

LIVE IN PARIS – Hippodrome de Vincennes - 6/6/92 7. SPEAK SOFTLY, LOVE (LOVE THEME FROM THE GODFATHER) (Live in Paris – 6/6/92)*

LIVE IN PARIS – Hippodrome de Vincennes - 6/6/92 8. SAIL AWAY SWEET SISTER (Live in Paris – 6/6/92)*

LIVE IN PARIS – Hippodrome de Vincennes - 6/6/92 11. MAMA KIN (featuring Steven Tyler & Joe Perry) (Live in Paris – 6/6/92)*

LIVE IN PARIS – Hippodrome de Vincennes - 6/6/92 12. TRAIN KEPT A ROLLIN’ (featuring Steven Tyler & Joe Perry) (Live in Paris – 6/6/92)*

For reference there are 2 additional songs from Paris 92 on Live Era

"It's So Easy" (from Appetite for Destruction)

"Sweet Child o' Mine" (from Appetite for Destruction)

Hence you can play UYI2CD2 Sail Away and just after SCOM from Live Era and get the full momentum (if you can deal with '99 vocals on Live Era) or you can just wonder why they decided to include Sail Away WITHOUT SCOM.

4/ 4 "not played that much because it was Izzy's songs and it was his last show with classic GNR" songs from London 91

UY1CD2 LIVE IN LONDON – Wembley Stadium - 8/31/91 1. PERFECT CRIME (Live in London – 8/31/91)*

UY1CD2 LIVE IN LONDON – Wembley Stadium - 8/31/91 5. DUST N’ BONES (Live in London – 8/31/91)*

UY1CD2 LIVE IN LONDON – Wembley Stadium - 8/31/91 8. DOUBLE TALKIN’ JIVE (Live in London – 8/31/91)*

UYI2CD2 LIVE IN LONDON – Wembley Stadium - 8/31/91 2. 14 YEARS (Live in London – 8/31/91)*

5/ 2 songs from Rock in Rio 91, with the only Bad Apples live version and KOHD (nothing special I think)

UY1CD2 LIVE IN RIO - Rock in Rio - 1/23/91 12. BAD APPLES (Live in Rio de Janeiro – 1/23/91)*

UYI2CD2 LIVE IN RIO - Rock in Rio - 1/23/91 10. ONLY WOMEN BLEED / KNOCKIN’ ON HEAVEN’S DOOR (Live in Rio de Janeiro – 1/20/91)*

It really helped me to list all that because now I am pretty sure I don't want to purchase this, streaming will be enough.

PS : And November Rain has a new orhchestra track but I am not ready to speak about this yet.

The Ritz blu-ray it's gonna be stellar! I wish they have released the Chicago show too but clearly they are not the same video quality. Ritz was shot on film, other shows on vhs with less cameras. Just watched the "You Could Be Mine" video without the Arnold scenes and it's gorgeous. Clearely we get the best filmed show that they have in the vaults. Plus the crowd it's absolutely insane and close to the stage. You don't get that feeling in a stadium. Also I think we'll get the filmed version of "You Could Be Mine" till 11 november.

Cant tell if that's a mirrorless camera or dslr but that's a nice looking gimbal. Cant see why you would need a gimbal for still pics, they are for smooth cinematic video. Maybe November rain will have a video with new stuff spliced in or something

This is very confusing for me. Yhe boxset edish is outside my price range.

Anyone able to confirm if I buy UYI 1 & 2 CD Deluxe editions for $29.98 each, will i have ALL songs being released?

That's incorrect. You need to buy either the vinyl or CD super deluxe boxsets to get the majority of the tracks, but then you need to buy both 2CD editions to get a further 16 extra songs which aren't available on either boxset. This is a strange situation and something I've never come across before!

These are the 16 extra songs only available on the 2CD editions:

  1. Perfect Crime (Live In London – 8/31/91)
  2. Always On The Run (With Lenny Kravitz) (Live In Paris – 6/6/92)
  3. Dust N’ Bones (Live In London – 8/31/91)
  4. Attitude (Live In Paris – 6/6/92)
  5. Double Talkin’ Jive (Live In London – 8/31/91)
  6. It’s Alright / November Rain (Live In Paris – 6/6/92)
  7. Bad Apples (Live In Rio De Janeiro – 1/23/91)
  8. Wild Horses (Live In Paris – 6/6/92)
  9. 14 Years (Live In London – 8/31/91)
  10. Drum Solo (Live In Paris – 6/6/92)
  11. Slash Solo (Live In Paris – 6/6/92)
  12. Speak Softly, Love (Love Theme From The Godfather) (Live In Paris – 6/6/92)
  13. Sail Away Sweet Sister (Live In Paris – 6/6/92)
  14. Only Women Bleed / Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door (Live In Rio De Janeiro – 1/20/91)
  15. Mama Kin (Featuring Steven Tyler & Joe Perry) (Live In Paris – 6/6/92)
  16. Train Kept A Rollin’ (Featuring Steven Tyler & Joe Perry) (Live In Paris – 6/6/92)

Even if you buy the super deluxe, you won’t have all the songs being released. Someone informed me earlier you’d need to cop one of the two super deluxe, and then also buy the deluxe edition CDs at $29.98 each. Woof.

It’s a pretty shitty thing to do to completists who like to collect physical media of every official Guns release. I will not be paying $600 for all of this only to end up streaming it on Spotify. If it was a reasonably priced box set all-in for $250ish, I’d do it. But being forced to buy multiple bundles is a crock of shit. Shameless money grab, and something this band also did with the “Hard Skool” EP (the live songs). Fuck this, man.

Does anybody know why the super deluxe CD set is $259.98 on https://gnrmerch.com/collections/music
But then the same set is €302.99 on https://uk.gnrmerch.com/*/Music/

Seems like a pretty big difference to me!

In comparion the vinyl set is $499.98 on the US site and €499.99 on the UK/EU site.

So I don't understand why the cd version is so much more expensive here while the vinyl version isn't.

There is zero chance I'm buying multiple versions of this. Yet another missed opportunity from GN'R and their management.

How hard is it to put together a package, price it right and watch it fly off the shelves? Very hard, apparently.

I'll do the same thing with this that I did with L&L: stream whatever is available on Spotify until they clear all of them out for the prices they should've been in the first place.

There are a few ‘easy wins’ that were somehow missed on this set. I’d be more inclined to say it’s the record company who deal with the pricing etc.

The Super Deluxe set not having all the tracks IS bizarre - I wonder who’s bright idea that was?! I hope there is some download card at least to get them…I’m sure there was something funny about previous download cards giving more than they should. 🤔

So the huge cat is finally out of the bag, and my screaming 18 year old garage band self would never have guessed that I would get to revisit, conduct, and add orchestra to one of the greatest power anthems in rock history for this massive anniversary collector’s addition. Thanks to the amazing GnR and their management for the trust and support and massive thanks to Doug Mark for the introduction! And huge props to Andrew Kinney for updating and reimagining the wonderful orchestration with me. And David Low, @akruckus and our amazing musicians…Dream come true!!! @gunsnroses
