GNR announce London '23 show

Sol Invictus is such a boring , unambitious album and probably the worst in their catalog. I'm guessing they played Matador. Faith No More was supposed to play shows the past few years but Covid and Mike Patton having mental health issues means they haven't played a show with him since 2015.

The debuts were Superhero and Motherfucker: https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/faith-no-more/2014/hyde-park-london-england-7bc186a0.html

I remember Superhero sucking all the energy out the air.

EDIT: Listening to Motherfucker now for the first time in almost a decade, I do remember people having fun singing along to the chorus on that one, at least.

Just reading through the comments on IG.

The band is getting slated. Mainly due to no new record and also due to no word about Glasgow.

Have to agree with the criticism to be fair.

Glad to hear that at least. Doubt it’ll change any tides though only thing that’ll do that is people voting with their wallets. But it’s a start.

I just had a look at a Glastonbury forum......bloody hell they REALLY don't like the idea of GNR playing there at all!

Total conjecture but looking at the Hyde Park on Fri 30/6, there is a free day the day before if ticket sale go well and also Sun 2/7 as imagine back to back shows in London may stir up bad memories :-D  - Bruce Springsteen is doing a Thu / Sat split show with Billy Joel in between the week after GNR.

If I was a betting man I would go
Thu 22/6 Dublin - Malahide Park / Marlay Castle (there are loads of outdoor shows at both venues around this time with this date free for both)
Sat 24/6 Glastonbury
Tues 27/6/ Wed 28/6 Bellahouston Park Glasgow (the original venue and Muse play there Fri 23/6 and Arctic Monkeys Sun 25/6 so infrastructure already in place)
Fri 30/6 - Hyde Park
Sun 2/7 - Hyde Park2 if sales go well.

All of these would need minimal touring infrastructure as venue already set up with stage etc. Just a bastard that am already seeing Iron Maiden in Manchester on Fri 30/6.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE THIS SHOW IS MOBILE ONLY TICKET SO YOU NEED A SMART PHONE TO OBTAIN YOUR TICKET

When I checked the prices through the AMEX presale they did have the cheapest at I think £90.45 as like an early batch release price or something

What is the difference between general admission tier 2 and 3? I’m guessing it is just a bit closer to the stage?

I think it is just a dynamic pricing thing to coerce people to buy tickets early. Hence why the launch price is no longer available .

I think "primary entry" is the early access equivalent.

Maybe they're cunts?

To be fair to them a lot of them had taken the time to watch some clips and see what they were like....and really weren't impressed.

You can't really argue with that- they watched some vids and made up their mind. It's fair enough really.

Or maybe they've gone on youtube and heard what Axl sounded like this year?

That's actually exactly what they were saying.....
