First guy in line bought 10, next guy bought 5, a couple bought two a piece. After I bought my solo litho, they limited it to one a piece. Highlights were PTU, Absurd, Bad Obsession and Don't Cry. Axl was ropey at times, but no denying the man gives his all. It was a little weird sitting there before the gig thinking it’s 31 years since I’ve seen this band first…. I feel fucking old and will definitely feel older in the morning! (He doesn't follow GNR as intensely as I do.) my dad had fun. Happy to hear Patience and Don't Cry in the encore. Axl sounded like he got better as the night went on. I haven't watched videos from every show but it seemed like Axl had kind of an off night even by current standards? Abruptly switching to the deep voice on some songs, skipping the middle scream on LALD, stuff like that. He sounded good on the more natural songs though, Don't Cry was really nice, and I was glad to finally hear Pretty Tied Up, Bad Obsession, DOTF, etc. Absurd was the best of the NITL singles, Axl and Slash both sounded good on it. Perhaps was definitely weaker than previous shows but I'm glad I got to hear it. And Axl didn't fuck up the timing on Hardschool, it was actually a (relatively) good performance of that song IMO. It was nice to meet @Amir at the show I'm going to sleep now but I've got videos uploading to youtube, including AIC playing Rooster with Duff. Skamos66 Posted October 17, 2023 Share Posted October 17, 2023 I know for us the setlist is repetitive, but each show the majority of fans in attendance are getting the same surprise as we first did in Abu Dhabi, just crazy to think how we are getting PTU, Bad Obsession, Reckless Life, Hardskool, Perhaps, Anything Goes, and Down on the Farm consistently at nearly every show this tour (aside from perhaps prior to release). Street of Dreams, Prostitute, Locomotive, There Was a Time showing up occasionally as well, honestly this is probably my favorite tour setlist-wise in the history of GNR.
