Ok, but they did the sign/chants at a lot of gigs? I think we attempted a chant but weren't that loud, then Duff and Matt did a drum solo.

I was there. Axl also had us chant "Get in the Ring" for a minute or so, for a song on the upcoming album. There's a poor quality YouTube video of most of this show that shows it happening. 

The Guns n Roses chant was just on our own, I think in response to the flashing sign that they had back then.
