I've been streaming it for a while but great to see it on the tv with DTS suround sound. It really highlights how great the band are and the mix for the most part is very good. Axl sounds fine on most of it but I must agree he's not as strong vocally as he was on the recent Vegas stint. I found certain sections of November Rain a bit ropey for example. The sound is definitely out of sync at certain moments but not in a way that you can pin it down or correct it as it's only for a section at a time. Watch civil war "We practice selective annihilation of mayors and government officials to create a vacuum, then we fill that vacuum." section for example and you'll see what I mean. I don't know if it's the blu ray or my player though. I still haven't seen everything and what I've seen I've only seen once, but Motivation wasn't in sync at all when I watched it. I thought it could be my player, but now you mention that exact part that I noticed earlier today, I'm wondering if it is the blu ray. I have no technical knowledge whatsoever, so, no idea. Watching a pro-shot concert beginning to end as opposed to the odd Youtube video here and there really homed it in that Axl's voice is fucking shot. It's not even enjoyable to watch. There's the odd passable performance, but the majority is just ropey from Axl's part. Even the band has its problems. There are quite a few times when it just sounds like there's far too many musicians onstage. It just sounds messy and unorganised. There really is no need for three guitarists in this band and two keyboard players. GNR needs to strip back big time and Axl needs to write new songs that his voice can handle, because the majority of his back catalogue sounds awful with his current voice.I seriously doubt I'll watch this DVD again and seeing this tired mess of a show has made my mind up that I'm not going to see any future GNR shows until there are some serious changes to the setlist and the overall quality of Axl's performances.Oh, and November Rain was embarrassing. However I think this DVD is still a great performance. The first section is exciting. The filming and sound are great. Towelie have you listened to it with a surround system?
