Guns N' Roses @ Vegas - May 21-June 7

Recommended Posts

Doing 6th and the 7th june if I get the time off work.

You're flying out the UK to Vegas? Now that's hard core!
Only cause I got a nice redundancy pay out. Any other time then no way. However just started a new job, so not getting to excited yet until me and my mate are confirmed off. Edited by Axl_morris

I haven't booked it yet but it's looking like I'll be there June 3rd - June 8th/9th. I've been looking all day and for me to fly UK - Vegas in May is nearly £1200 but in that week of June I can get a flight + Hard Rock Hotel stay for £920. If I could get another person with me it would be £780 but no luck so far. Went to the 2012 one and looking forward to this one as well - fuck the haters!

Edit: Also - has anyone seen or know of anyone else on in Vegas around that time? I've found Lionel Richie and Billy Joel but they both clash on GNR dates (I would only see Billy Joel for the record...)

Also, not ashamed, I would have seen Britney Spears at Caesars Palace but her residency ends in May :(

"Select members".........does that mean you get to meet Axl or no?

  • One Reserved Floor Concert Ticket ($100)
  • Meet and Greet with Select Members of Guns N' Roses
  • Photo Opportunity with Select Members of Guns N' Roses
  • VIP Party Room with Cash Bar ($10 cover- you have to pay for your drinks)
  • Guns N' Roses Limited Edition Vegas Lithograph ($30)
  • Guns N' Roses Limited Edition Commemorative Vegas Laminate ($20)

So you are basically paying $160 to meet and get a picture with "select" members of the band?

I think it's luck of the draw. The Joint is on the right hand side of the building but the HRH tower Suites are in a separate annex to the rest of the hotel - although Almost Famous said in 2012 Axl was in the Casino Tower (he got into some after party at his room), though part of me thinks Axl just rented that out for parties and had another suite in the HRH Suite Tower.

Pretty much. It's not something I would purchase if Axl wasn't guaranteed to be there. However if he was, he'd likely charge Slash prices ($500).

At his last Toronto show he did the meet n greet before the gig and charged about $500 for it. Some bands charge even more.

Maybe just me, but not really my thing. I get flamed whenever I say this, so again - JUST NOT MY THING. But I wouldn't pay extra money to meet somebody just because they are a musician (celebrity worship is weird). Run into a celeb and chat with them - cool. But to pay money to talk to them? LOL - no. And special addition, limited addition laminates and lithographs and guitar picks - maybe when I was a teenager. But as an adult, I just want to go see a killer rock and roll show. I don't care about the memorabilia. The show is the memorabilia for me.

I don't know if this was his last tour or next one:

Slash Premier VIP Packages are $3799 each and include:- 2 Premium or General Admission tickets- 2 Early Entry Access into Venue (GA venues only)- 1 Signed Slash Les Paul Electric Guitar- 2 Meet & Greet with Slash- 2 Limited Edition Tour Lithographs- 2 Commemorative VIP Laminates- 2 Guitar Pick Tins

Gold VIP Packages are $499 each and include:- 1 GA Ticket with Early Entry - 1 Meet & Greet with Slash- 1 Limited Edition Tour Lithograph - 1 Commemorative VIP Laminate- 1 Guitar Pick Tin

Silver VIP Packages are $199 each and include:- 1 GA Ticket - 1 Limited Edition Tour Lithograph - 1 Commemorative VIP Laminate - 1 Guitar Pick Tin - See more at:

I paid $1000 to meet Ozzy and don't regret it at all.

What else did you get? To me that seems a bit steep. I think you could meet most of these people for free at their hotels but that'd require a certain level of stalking and most grown adults don't wanna put in that kind of effort for an autograph and quick photo.

And that's cool. To each their own. Whatever makes you happy. It's your money, spend it however you want.

I met Ozzy - for free. He played at my college and I was friends with the rock DJs of the station who partially sponsored the show. I guess that is the big difference between us - or people like us. Watching the show is my big fond memory, not getting to meet the guy. And paying money to meet another human being.......ya, just not my thing.

If I found $1,000 sitting on the ground today I'd use it to buy a new refrigerator for my house or a new topping for our boat (just had an estimate done, $3,500 - crazy).

But like I said - people can spend their money however they'd like.

******

Oh my little Coma. You have the unique ability to TWIST everything into a negative. Weird and funny at the same time. I like how you say "to each their own" but then have to put me down. I guess "to each their own" own applies if people are Axl worshipping or Slash bashing!!!!!

I'm still debating on whether or not to fly to Vegas to catch a weeks worth of shows. I live several states away, so the trip is going to cost me several thousand dollars. Just like it did the last three times I went and saw Axl's version of GnR.

I don't care what people spend their money on.

BUT FOR ME PERSONALLY (which is what you seem to concentrate one for some reason), I wouldn't pay extra money to meet another human being. It just seems weird to me. I'll pay to watch Axl perform on stage.....but pay a hundred bucks to shake his hand and chat for 30 seconds? Knowing the ONLY reason he is talking to me is because I paid him......lol, no.

But if you want to buy a celebs time.......feel free to spend your money however you'd like.

Groghan - my "to each their own" comment meant that if people wanted to pay for the meet n greets then that's cool. If they don't then that's fine as well. It's got nothing to do with your weird obsession with Axl vs Slash. However, it is odd that you don't want to attend the VIP (that's totally cool, it ain't for me either) but have an issue with the pricing of it (which isn't more than the going rate).
