The "Axl/Slash/Duff + 2 Mystery Players Re-banded But Not A Reunion Tour" Thread - Announcement Imminent!

Recommended Posts

Yes, this is getting old. Hopefully Friday will force their hand

Nobody is ever going to force Axl's hand. That is truth.
True, but if they announce GNR and Axl doesn't clarify the band that would be odd, would it not?
That would be odd. I can't see it being announced though without clarification from someone though, whether it's just promoters or not as to who is in the band, whether than be from team Brazil, slash, duff, etc. if GNR is announced someone will realistically have to clarify who will be in the band, I just think it would get too messy and out of control and actually be more difficult for axl slash and company to do anything without clarifying their status, whether they're hiding or speaking or not.

One thing I would bet on though is, if Steven Adler is in fact involved (when was the last time anyone talked to him anyways?) there's no way he's keeping a lid on things and not talking about it after Friday. I'd hypothetically guess that if he is now he's jumping up and down somewhere dying to tell someone

Whatever the future holds with GNR. I seriously doubt that Steven Adler will be involved.
So after all this it still won't be the real reunion. Hopefully they can get CD II out in 2016.

I just fucking want to know something for certain. Jesus god damned Christ, I've been following this band in depth for over 10 years and not once has anyone made a definitive statement on the state of anything. Just say yes or no to anything. Reunion. CDII. Whatever.

You poor baby. Go heat up a bottle of milk and play your violin somewhere else.

Try doing this for 30 years. You get used to it.

Doing what? what did you do? was a fan of a hard rock band? such a heavy load to carry. You make it sound like you've been mining coal for 30 years. You always had the choice to stop being a fan and now you're patronizing another fan cause you've waited longer.

Very mature. Go milk a violin.

If this happens, please get rid of pyrotechnics, scale down on the video screens, and for fucks sake, no strippers.

What the fuck? you never scale down on the video screens.

I understand that audience members have ADD these days but good bands don't need giant screens with random footage of race cars.

Fuck the audience. It's more pimp that way. You want a gay curtain like faith no more? just no. More flying pianos.

Axl: "not in this lifetime."

Why isn't that definitive enough?

Also ramp up the explosions. Slash should get his own firework show. Actually get a nuke for him to

play on.

Each band member gets a 10 min intro, like wrestlers.
Izzy comes jogging out to reggae songs and images of him riding his harley across the desert.

Because of everything going on and a hundred other things that have been said.....

But has Axl said anything else on the subject?

Why 'Chinese Democracy' Is Guns N' Roses' Second Best Album

Within the next couple of days, it's expected that the classic line-up of Guns N' Roses will announce a 2016 reunion tour. Well, I say classic-line up -word on the street is that Axl, Duff and Slash are being joined by hired guns Richard Fortus, Frank Ferrer and Dizzy Reed rather than Izzy Stradlin and Steven Adler. Still, 3 out of 5 is Guns is enough for the average punter to fork out for a ticket and, provided they don't bottle it, the band's 2016 jaunt will undoubtedly be the most successful reunion tour of all time.

While I'm cautiously optimistic about GN'R's comeback, there is one thing that saddens me. The return of the old band means that the sole offering from the new band, 2008's "Chinese Democracy," will likely be consigned to the rubbish bin of history. And that's a shame, because I rate "Chinese Democracy." In fact, I rate it much higher than I probably should. After "Appetite for Destruction," it's my favorite record to have been released under the Guns N' Roses name. That's right. I like it more than both "Use Your Illusions," "GN'R Lies" and "The Spaghetti Incident" (to be fair, that last one is a no-brainer - 'The Spaghetti Incident" is terrible). Lunacy I know, but read on and I'll do the best to justify my position.

Its a shame that the Spaghetti incident doesn't get much love, I really enjoyed Attitude, Black Leather, Raw Power, Down On The Farm, Since I Don't Have You & Human Being. Those were good tracks and Slash's guitar tone took the place of porno's growing up and I'm straight as an arrow. That #34 Marshall Amp really shines on these.

Certainly enjoyed those a lot more than ANYTHING on Chinese Democracy, granted there were times that "C.D" almost took flight and sounded good, it was overshadowed by guitars that were self serving rather than serving the music at hand.
