However, the original signs were restored for the documentary "All Things Must Pass" about Tower Records. I believe there's been a few events there since, such as an early screening of the film, but otherwise it's just an empty room. There's no record store there any longer, sadly. As for GN'R, I'm guessing they are setting up a pop-up shop as someone mentioned, which will include an outlet where you can buy tix for the upcoming tour And there's a good chance the press conference will be there ... although the roof top thing seems unlikely, if they are playing at the Troubadour?
