I love his dance moves, the energy is incredible. He is moving more and more with each show, I give it a month and he'll be sprinting and jumping like crazy again

Popular Post axlinkafayette
So i am here to tell it like it is... Saw Guns in Chicago in April 1992, which remains the best rock show i've ever seen. Was at the Show last night in Chicago and i was BLOWN AWAY.... Now, Alice in Chains was good, a fine opener and did a good 45 min set, only thing negative about it was the pacing of one of my favorite songs, "Got Me Wrong" was too slow and kind of just sounded wrong that way, everything else was basically flawless. Onto Guns....The 1st 4 songs of the night were incredible! That pace is impossible to maintain i would think and they knocked it out of the park by a mile with ISE, Brownstone, CD and DTJ, but then Estranged really fucked up the flow...and Axl was poor on at least half that song. Its funny how he can change effort and intensity within the Same song! That one was the perfect example, it was one of the poorer songs of the entire show. I would say the other song that was impacted badly by that same thing was Rocket Queen, the 2nd part especially was just weak, but there are many times where Axl is astonishing, he rises to the 1991-93 and prior levels at the drop of a hat, but can also vanish just as quick, but not that often, but it is noticeable. Also gets drowned out in the mix on several occasions . Now the REAL star of the show is Slash! Holy shit he was on. To see him on stage at all there is incredible, but to hear him play is simply mind blowing. He is at the absolute TOP of his game, never been better. Evidence on DTJ and just about every other song he is featured on. Duff was spot on and i loved his snippet of Can't Throw your Arms around a Memory...Raw Power, eh... Richard had his own spotlight and never disappointed. He does stay back in the shadows often. I actually think Frank is every bit as good as any of the prior drummers, no issues there. Melissa Reese added competent backing vocals on a lot of songs, notable, Live and Let Die but she was more into the mix of the show than i would have figured. Dizzy Reed was mostly invisible I was pleasantly surprised by the Seeker too, i liked how Axl used a different kind of vocal on it, very appropriate. I would say there are WAY too many covers....It works as filler more than a compliment in a lot of places. What i wouldn't have given to have heard Yesterdays, Pretty Tied up or even Patience which was inexplicably left out. And This i Love really sounds good, but also wouldn't be missed if it was swapped out by a different, non CD song. Same goes for Better. Overall I would HIGHLY recommend anyone who loves rock and roll to see this show, they don't get a lot better. Any REAL Guns N' Roses fan must attend a show, its a no brainer and well worth the $ and effort.
IncitingChaos
I love the video team they have this year, on the jumbo tron videos on the side it's so cool how ISE opens with Duff and then it switches to Slash just being Slash so the crowd goes nuts then all of a sudden you get Axl skipping down the runway swinging the mic behind his back as he makes his way up front and the place erupts! Definitely one of the best Comas. I need to hear that song live. Life's not complete without it. If you ask me they can drop any other song from the setlist rather than Coma. Thats pretty fucking awesome Most likely, Myles Kennedy turned him on to Gojira as him and Mark Tremonti are huge fans. I half expect Slash to turn Axl onto them only for him in turn to become insanely obsessed with their sound and the next GN'R album is really proggy with weird lyrics about saving the planet and shit haha. He tries to make it sound cool and cold which is appropriate but it comes off as weak imo. It would sound way better if he attacked it a bit more and also carried the rest of the song the way he does the ending.
ZoSoRose
Ok, show was fucking amazing. Drove down from detroit with my friends. Ate at a locql pizza place and we walked to Soldier Field to get our will call tickets. Went back to Russ' buddies house anr hung out with some awesome guys. Made our way to the stadium and I got a litho and we got to our seats on the floor. Roughly half way up the floor. After AiC we spot Russ again so we make our way towards him. Fernando was there and gave us all GA wrist bands on Slashs side. We got a great spot and the show kicked ass. Best Ive seen Axl and I loved the venue. Great sound.we drove back last night. It was tough but I slept like a baby lol
