Thanks Backstar - you're a champ as usual.  That was funny.  Bet it's like second nature to him, too.  He's given up smoking ( I mean, cigarettes) hasn't he?

Wonder what the whole, I'm trying to be optimistic, power of positive thinking yada yada was all about? lol

Yeah, I think he was smoking only cigars a few years ago, I don't know if he has quit that too now - but probably he still wants his weed

My guess is he said it in reference to The Seeker lyrics.

To be fair, he has definitely has lost 10 - 15 pounds since the start of the tour.. GO back and watch videos from 2016.. Hopefully he continues in the right direction.

He seems to have stalled at some point on this leg and is now starting to look chunkier again. Prolly all the beer he drinks

Saw a couple of guys being escorted out during the first three songs, a few people being completely out of it half-way through the show and walking off and people trying to sneak into my section all night.

Quite impressed with Royal Blood. Surprised they were only two guys on stage! lol

In Seattle last year, Axl stole the show. Last night was the Slash show. I was on the rail on Duffs side of the runway (side note, the 13 year old beside me got a couple picks from Duff, and his wristband, Duffs a cool guy for giving him that stuff).

Wichita Lineman was great, just confirms to me that a mini acoustic set in the middle of the show would work wonderfully. Black Hole Sun was a bit better than expected, the crowd was into it, but I still don't think it fits Axl's voice.

Catcher was a great surprise, it's been a highlight at both stadium shows I've seen. I kinda wonder if they played it as a substitute for Madagascar (Axl definitely heard me and a couple others yelling for it. Really hope they break out Maddy at the Gorge show).

Axl sounded good on all the lower register songs, he was hard to hear for parts of Jungle but wasn't bad on what I did hear. Not as good as last year though. Nightrain was good. My Michelle was kinda rough, it sounded like he was trying to add some rasp and just wasn't getting it. The vocal highlight of the show was easily I Feel Good, that's the voice we all want to hear from Axl.

Slash and Duff were both Godly. Slash is mesmerizing to watch and Duff interacts the most with the crowd. Slash's solo on This I Love was kinda loose but still the only good part of the song - Axl fucked up the first verse and his voice sounded quite weak for the whole song, he seemed almost mad at himself at the end, he knew he botched that one. The band was on point for basically the whole show but the musical highlights for me were Catcher, the new covers, Patience and Godfather/Johnny B Goode.

Sad to hear man...  I watched Jungle and I Feel Good this morning and he sounded fucking awesome... It is too bad he can't do that on other songs too... The voice in I feel good seems do effortless for him, why can't he transfer that to other songs? November Rain pretty much always sucks with this line up :/ From his voice to the tempo and yes even Slash's solos.. I do feel the tempo messes with the feel of Slash's solos though.

Yea the tempo on November Rain killed it, the 'Lovers always come and lovers always go' part just sounded ridiculous, like they couldn't wait to hurry up and finish that damn song.

And anyone who says Axl doesn't sound Mickey when you're there is either deaf or in denial. It's very noticeable. I agree that his I Feel Good voice seems so effortless, I'm 100% sure he could sound like that for most songs but he's just bored to death with the songs he's had to sing for 20-30 years, so he cruises through them.

Cool notes. It's crazy, there wasn't a single show in 2010 where he didn't nail Til effortlessly when he was raspy as fuck but falsetto it seems harder for him to project some nights.
