In fact, I wouldn’t even want a single cover song on any new album. We’ve patiently waited for this band and its principal to release anything in decades, and the last thing we should wish for on a new record is an unnecessary cover song, literally taking up space that could have been filled with an actual GNR song, regardless of the year of origin. No more covers, please. Haven’t we had enough of them, especially from this band? Plus they’re giving them so much space in concert setlists as it is. In layman’s terms: each released cover means an original GNR song that we could have had but don’t. Who the fuck would want that. Makes no sense to me. Also, they’re not some snowflake aliens from the outer space; they’re musicians, damn it. Though, apparently they put The General and Perhaps on the same CD/vinyl.
