axl666
Great performance that any band would be happy with. Axl voice is weaker in upper range but he still has it as an overall performer
marinergtfc
Just had a peep on twitter ( yes I know)… there’s a lot of love amazing, so , so proud.
koldweather
Amazing show. Vocally of course not a patch bit as a whole band show I don't think you can ask for a whole lot more honestly. I think they've soared beyond the low expectations of the public, especially against the AM set yesterday.
Popular Post Billy Cundy
Welp.. Everyone can rest easy knowing that GNR left everything on that stage tonight. Yes, some of the edges are a bit frayed, waistlines expanded, prime years been and gone.... but fuck me, the rock n’ roll crown sits firmly upon their collective heads. Nothing can ever top abashed, unashamed rock n’ roll. What really shines is the consistency of their catalogue. Just great songs. Delivered with grit and gusto by 3 out of the 5 men who wrote and recorded those classic tracks decades ago. Not perfect, but I guarantee everyone at that festival watching them was having a fucking blast. I sure was, and I’m in my pyjamas. 4

wendirosez
Axl put his heart into what we just watched. They all did. Thanx Guns for the great evening ! Bring on the reviews!
IrishgunnerII
Good thing GNR finished before midnight because Lana del rey on the other stage got the GNR at Leeds treatment and they cut her sound and the crowd are pissed off.

Stay.Of.Execution
Judging by the crew's Instagram, this might have been the best crowd in a long time. Never would've expected that

klakly
Wow, luckily I was able to watch the streaming from Italy. Everything was crazy, the band was on fire, Axl in his prime, Slash did as always Slash.I was a little afraid of Axl's voice, but it's absolutely better than I could have thought. Amazing 🤘

colonizedmind
Last call and response on KOHD was goosebumps....crowd, the moment, lots of best in a long time performances tonight and that's what you call a great gig....not folks critising he can't return to decades before vocals. Brilliant night. Thanks for the ride and awesome busy thread. Btw listen with headphones, better vocals like that I found! Axl has a mojo about him tonight that allowed him, maybe for the first time to really stand out as the best in the band....and I do take overall performance and not just vocals boys and girl
Lio
Well, the telegraph was mean about Axl and apparently the love between him and Lana del Rey is long gone too. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/music/concerts/glastonbury-festival-2023-highlights-saturday-day-2/

They were so damn good tonight.....what an absolute waste that they sound this amazing and just don't push it. All that talent! Come on-;at least play the stuff we know you have waiting! Do it! I know we're all industry experts but will they have another show with this much coverage? If there was a new album coming, I'm guessing this would have been the show to announce it? I'm a music nerd so I know of Glastonbury and looking at their schedule,it doesn't seem they'll have a more high profile show than this anytime soon .
Brixtongeordie
Great show! Wonder if the HS position might have been originally scoped for something else? HS is basically a new song to most anyways. Let's see what we get next week across the other UK shows. Exciting!

IMO this wasn't the show to announce new stuff, people wanted to hear the hits I mean they still played Hardskool and Absurd!!!! this is the most exposure those songs will probs ever get!

Popular Post Tom-Ass
Wow.. I just watched some of Nightrain, LALD and KOHD.. TIS is what we were waiting for .. There is our DVD right there.. Fuck those half assed stupid selects.. These clips captured teh energy of the live shows. The perfect mix of band and crowd footage and audio. This was as raw as it gets too. Imagine if they had a little time to remix it? The Stones released a Blu Ray of their Glastonbury show.. Guns should too.
