Axl Sued For Sexual Assault

Oh wow, that's a really good catch. I just assumed she was much younger than Axl, I had no idea she was the same age. Not that it makes a difference if what happened to her did, but why lie about your age? Unless it is to make herself look more innocent and suspectable to something like that happening

Well that’s exactly how it seems to me because I suppose most older adults would see a 22 yr old as still a kid and quite vulnerable in those situations.

Taking 5 years off is a lot, I really don’t think anyone would be that far out unless they were doing it on purpose.

When I was first hearing and reading about this story that is exactly what I thought. I thought she was in her very early 20's and my gut reaction was that's just a baby and I was already picturing how vulnerable and naive someone that young would be around a huge rockstar. But that can now be chalked up to a lie, with everything that is coming out about her I'd double check for myself if she told me the sky was blue lol

It's this guy (picture from her book):

The picture from the documentary:

1989_s10.jpg

The two pictures could be from the same night because he's wearing the same Cathouse shirt, but it's not certain.

And the picture of Axl from the documentary:

1989_a10.jpg

If her friend went to the cathouse often, then she would probably have pictures with many different celebs and rockstars, whether Sheila was there or not.

It's a shame we can't see the friend's clothes in the second picture, to see if they're the same as the clothes in the picture with Axl.

I think she was conditioned this way. Her father - or one of the many fathers in her family - was into her and her sister and at one point the FBI came to her house saying her father was traveling with a 13 - 14 year old and he claimed this girl was his daughter. The FBI wanted to know if that was really true and Sheila told them, no, she's the daughter and the girl he was traveling with was his girlfriend.

Then later, when she was 18 and lived with Bob Guccione (founder of Penthouse) this happened:

15.png

15, 16, 17 was the magical age back in the days and it was rather normal that older men, including the rockstars, were looking for girls that age and often groomed them for when they turned 18 and they could get with them. It was frowned upon by "healthy" parents and adults but there were enough that didn't mind and even signed over their daughters into a guardianship or let them work with the rockstars. Steven Tyler and Prince, to name but two. Ironically, I met them both too, and both on the same day and the same occasion. I was 17 and my stepmother would've been more than happy had I not come home anymore that night. For me and my friends it was all just excitement, we were no typical young and naive teenagers but at the same time we knew (or thought) the circumstances were safe. We didn't even only waste a second thinking about these things that adults think of.

I also met Axl when I was still a teenager and I was with Slash in the MJ video back then, and today in hindsight I could be shocked at how easy it was to get into that shoot. But then again I am not shocked at all as this was normal. Modeling, I was even sent to music video shoots when I was under 20, and when I started auditioning for films my first agent always wanted to send me into adult movie productions because "you look 15".

At 19 I was singing in a rock star-gone-producer's studio in his private home and he wanted to work with me and produce a single - but not after he heard my voice (which he did like) but after he saw my modeling portfolio and had "this vision" of how he could sell me. Before I went home I used his studio bathroom and all walls were covered in porn. I don't know what may have happened during our "working together" but I didn't go back to find out.

It was so common (and probably still is today) and that's why I already suspected in an earlier post (before I started reading her book) that she had to make herself younger and it just became a habit over time, so she came up with the 22. We have no way of knowing but it's very likely. Again, not to excuse anything and she knew what she was doing there going after Axl.

I was checking the thing, the summons being served hasn't been logged yet.

For comparison, another case showing the proof of the summons being served:

Yes, like @BucketEgg said, summons has not been served yet and the time window for the defendant in a lawsuit to file an answer or a motion starts after service.

From what I understand, since Axl resides in another state and so he's outside "subpoena power", he can basically choose when he wants to be served, which will be when he officially appoints an attorney who will be served on his behalf (I assume he will appoint lawyers from New York). For example, in the Bob Dylan case the lawsuit was served about 4 months after it was filed (Dylan lives in California); and Steven Tyler has not been served either (the lawsuit against him was filed about 20 days before Axl's). For the same reason, Fernando has not been served for Kat's lawsuit (because I think he lives in Costa Rica).

Could be years, then? Somebody who lives un Argentina for example, and last 10 years to enter US, for Miami , and never go to NY, that person Will no be served?

No, I don't think it could be years, but it can be a few months.

I suppose if a lot of time passes the court allows other ways for a lawsuit to be served, and if it still doesn't get served I guess it can rule in favour of the plaintiff.

I'm not a law expert (and I'm not even American), but my understanding is that there are differences in the procedure/civil code depending on whether a case is filed in a federal court or a state court and then the procedure may also differ in each state.  This lawsuit has been filed in New York state court and after having a look in other cases I've seen that civil cases in NY are not assigned to a judge right away, but only when they reach a stage when intervention from a judge is required (e.g. to rule on a motion filed by one of the parties).

There are also may be unofficial talks between lawyers before the lawsuit is officially served, for example to see what the intentions of the other party are.

They are probably going to ambush Axl by surprise with a subpoena. I saw something similar happen when Olivia Wilde got served a subpoena at an awards show or something. She at first thought it was a script for a new movie. She was shocked when she saw the subpoena! So maybe Axl will get the subpoena by surprise at say a meet and greet? 🤔

They don't do meet and greets.

Axl did a meet and greet although the meet and greet was a surprise to him! He still consented even though this meet and greet was literally sprung on him out of nowhere. Another Celebrity might have said something like,"Fuck off with this sudden meet and greet, I'm out of here!"😒 But he was actually nice to the Fan and even hugged her. 😇Edit. This was RECENT Axl. I'm not so sure if Younger Axl would have been so accommodating and tolerant. 💡🤔

That's just meeting people on the street, that's not an organized meet and greet.

No, this sudden meet and greet was done backstage after a Guns N'Roses Concert. Axl says something like,"I'm surprised you're still here. Everyone else already went home." The Fan said,"I've been a Fan of you ever since I was nine years old. " Axl says,"I'm so sorry!" 🤣🤭😇

I'm pretty sure Axl DID do a meet and greet last year. He was sitting down and signing autographs and doing selfies. He was wearing a mask. I remember Posters saying something like," Axl is TOO domesticated now. The old(Young) Axl from the 80's and 90's would never be wearing a damn mask. That's not rock and roll at all! Besides, he looks like Jerry Springer and NOT Axl Rose!"(This was shortly before Jerry Springer died suddenly).

That wasn't a meet and greet.

And he wouldn't be subpoenaed like that anyway, because he doesn't live in New York :)

I'm definitely confused on what a meet and greet is if it isn't sitting down and signing autographs and taking selfies with fans. 🤔

It's one of those incredibly embarrassing events where people pay considerable amounts of money to queue up and get a photo/autograph with someone.

I've no idea why people do them, as personally there's no-one I'd pay to meet, but there we go. GNR don't do them, which, in my view, is a good thing.
