14 Years Of Silence Posted June 17, 2014 Share Posted June 17, 2014 So I'm in Charlotte on business this week and it's showing at the Studio Movie Grille tomorrow and Thur, theatre is a 5 minute walk from my hotel. I checked both showings and only 3 or 4 people have purchased tickets so far (it's all reserved seating). Debating going but feel like it's going to be awkward watching a concert in a movie theatre, especially if there are only a handful of people there. Glad to be a part of it.I'm not really bothered by the fact that this isn't the best show they could have released because neither was Tokyo 1992. It's kind of tradition to release mediocre concerts when you have exceptional ones already recorded at this point.If it was a Rock In Rio 2011 DVD then we'd have a serious problem. But Axl sounds pretty decent from what I've heard, and I think this will do well. Yeah it's got the Vegas cheesiness with the strippers and flying piano, but it's still Guns N' Roses and they still put on a good show. That's something a lot of us sometimes forget because we're just bummed out about the fact that it's basically been the same good show for the last 5 years, but it's still a good show. And the tracklist ain't too bad either.Estranged, Catcher and Better in proshot HD? I'll take it.Can't wait to blast this while my family members laugh at me like I'm a loser. Val22 Posted June 18, 2014 Share Posted June 18, 2014 AXS. tv will probably only show some of the GNR Vegas show.I doubt they will show the whole show especially when they are trying to sell the blueray/dvd on July 1.I know when they showed the Def Leppard Vegas show it was only an hour and a half with commercials, so no way that was the whole show either.Going tonight!
