downzy
$135 million opening weekend; breaking the record for a R-rated movie (previous record was Matrix Reloaded @ $91 million back in 2003). Guess this guarantees a bigger budget sequel.
moreblack
It was pretty much what I was hoping it would be. Nicely done.

I was never on the bandwagon but knowing Deadpool's character and how they were doing the movie I was certainly excited. They executed it perfectly really. Powerage5
Just not big on comic book movies. Especially Marvel, they just...don't sit well with me. They all feel so cheesy, with a handful of exceptions (Particularly the Dark Knight trilogy and Dredd). I cringed watching the trailer for Deadpool. Black Sabbath
To each their own I suppose. The thing about Deadpool is that whatever you probably cringed at, is exactly how he's supposed to be They've done quite well with Ant-Man and Deadpool though. Rovim
I think I'm gonna give it a shot. Seems like it was a real labor of love.

I'm not big on superhero movies either but I quite liked this one. Funnier than the trailer suggested.

RussTCB
I'm not big on comic book movies but I have to say, this is the first one in a long time that I want to watch.
Amir
Worth seeing once. Some of the humour is a bit "lolsorandom/<holdsupspork>" but there's enough jokes that hit, I found it much funnier than Guardians of the Galaxy. Action was decent. Funny reading how a huge climactic action set-piece with a ton of guns had to be cut for budgetary reasons so in the film Deadpool ends up leaving all his guns in Dopinder's cab.
Amir
Leaked script has some good stuff that didn't make the final film, especially a prescient reference/cameo on page 21: http://www.slideshare.net/zacharygoldrich/deadpool-movie-leaked-script-
highvoltage
I laughed quite a lot in the theater. Thought it was really entertaining. They broke the fourth wall quite a bit, probably my favourite film to do so frequently since Ferris.
bacardimayne
Even the R-rating is dominated by superheroshit now.

Yeah that's a trademark of the character. Friend who is a fan of the comics pointed out you never see him break the fourth wall before he turns into Deadpool, as it's implied that he could just be talking to himself as a result of brain tumours (which grow and die and regrow due to his powers). I only had exposure to the game beforehand (it's a lot of fun!) and it's there as well. Just saying that they did it very well in the film too. They're looking to have Cable in a follow-up, who is a very serious character, but they've already done the Deadpool with Straight Man thing in this one with Colossus. I'm not familiar with the Cable/Deadpool comics but they have their fans. Cosmo
I wonder how they'll manage to link the X-men and deadpool considering the x-men are currently in the 80's and deadpool is in the present.
dalsh327
Someone told me they had to reduce the budget of the movie by 70 million dollars. Maybe being a rated R Marvel movie made the producers nervous. They should put Black Widow and Deadpool in the next movie, even in the comics they crossed paths. Słash
It was pretty good and entertaining, By the promos and the way they were promoting the movie, I was expecting it to be more funny, but well it was good.

He's got more than once voice going on in there. The speaking one, the yellow inner crazy one, and the logical white one.
