My experience is, sadly, different, though. At current ticket prices, I wouldn't be able to afford general admission. Regardless of how much I want, even need, to be there. But in the past, when I could...I looked around me,, and I saw all these people, people I had never seen in my life, and would never see again, and I realised, realised that I was around people that had been affected by this music, by this fucking rock n' roll band in a way that I probably couldn't even begin to explain, just like I had. And there I was, having the time of my life, side by side with these unknown people that had really been affected by this band. Just like me.And then one big guy elbowed me in the throat. And I couldn't breathe. And I had to be dragged from the crowd, which was really embarrassing. And I needed medical care. And by the time they let me back in, the concert had started, and these people who didn't know me sure weren't going to allow me back my spot. So there I was, at the back of the crowd. And I am only small, and I could hardly see a thing. And that is why, these days, I opt for a seat.been there too, that sucks, eventually one gets tired of such things, I still prefer the PISTA as we say over here for a rock show, but id love to have a seat to watch GNR play accoustic, that should also be pricelessI guess I need to clarify; I have no intention of ever sitting down at any GN'R show. I would just rather have an assigned seat that I can show up to claim whenever I want is all.

I would just rather have an assigned seat that I can show up to claim whenever I want is all.Me too. Lining up for hours just isn't my cup of tea. I certainly don't hate general admission but I like just knowing my seat, especially a good one, is sitting there waiting for me.I think the misconception people are getting in this thread is that everyone actually sits down during the concert - even those on the floor. Having the seat doesn't mean people actually sit once the concert starts. I've been seated on the floor many times - not a soul on the floor sits down. Maybe the odd person here or there takes a break and sits or whatever, but generally speaking, everybody stands anyways. The only difference is you have a seat right behind you. The same for nearly all of the lower bowl most of the time, especially for a high-energy act like Guns.I find seated arena flooring looks better sometimes too because it fills in nearly the whole area. For fire codes, they can only allow so many people in for GA. They all crowd to the front, and suddenly it looks like half the floor is empty. It seems to work better in the stadium setting, or outdoors where it's all GA anyways. That's where you really get the "sea of heads" effect.
Lio
I can't believe that something this big isn't being given the promotion it deserves. Pretty clear that Axl's still in charge. These sporadic dates that are rumored and then keep popping up are rediculous. They should be hitting all the major media with some interviews and properly announce what, where and when this is happening. I hope this changed. I'm sick of all the secrecy and cryptic messages. It's time to communicate and excite the fan base.Getting tickets is already hard enough, I don't need more promotion...True.Plus I already am excited. REUNION!!! frenchie87
I'm starting to sweat over here. I'm wondering if I should go to these Vegas shows or wait for the tour. Do anyone have any ideas where shows would probably be in the Southeast USA?

gunsfanoldie
Agreed about not caring about the tour. At this point, these are the only shows that matter. Arenas, not stadiums. Their own show, not a festival. The ACTUAL first shows they will do being back. You can't beat that. Can't decide whether I want or can do both, but at this point just getting into one of them is the goal.Question:Are there two more presales? A Citicard one and then one on Friday thats AXS? Black Sabbath
Citicard is today and there's another one on Friday, though I'm not sure what you need to access it, if anything.

st0n3r
GA tickets at 250 usd a piece? Could somebody tell me what a band like AC/DC asks for GA-tickets in the US? I know this is going back a few pages, but it's still gone unanswered. AC/DC did GA at some show in North America last year (Their first time ever over here for GA), most shows which had it were $120-130 AFTER fees. So roughly 25-30% the price of these GN'R shows.I'd be one to believe that they would have been more expensive if they hadn't toured together for the last 20+ years though The $250 for regular GA is still high, but it's better than Stones $1500 I agree the VIP packages and prices are pretty ridiculous though. But I got the GA one so whatever. I won't do it every show.I am sorry, but in that case I think the prices are preposterous. If this is only for these two first ever reunion shows, I can understand a bit, but still.
Axl_morris
manny pacquio is fighting at the MGM on the 9th. do you think its possible to catch GNR and the boxing on the same night?
gunsfanoldie
The way I look at it, we were expecting these prices anyway. And I'll gladly pay this top dollar for arena, FIRST show as opposed to stadium worse seats further down the line. Tickets are expensive, but they were gonna be anyway. At least these seem worth it. And the way I look at it, I'll pay top dollar for these, with flight and hotel and everything, and be WAY more frugal for stadium shows. I wanna see as many as I can, but I basically set aside $1000 for this tour. If I can get by with my dream Vegas scenario, which would be about $750, that leaves me with either one more stadium show in great top dollar seats, or two more stadium shows in less than desirable but still fine seats. These Vegas shows, while warm ups, seem like the most worth it in terms of energy and intimiacy. If they play stuff like Breakdown or something later down the line that they weren't ready to play in Vegas, I'll live because Vegas just seems like the culmination of too much to miss.Citicard is today and there's another one on Friday, though I'm not sure what you need to access it, if anything. So is anyone doing the Citicard one? Seems like that one is kind of flying under the radar if its today. Maybe not too many seats or people with Citicards?
IncitingChaos
As soon as the rumor came out that they would play this arena I knew I'd go to it. Mainly the fact that it's an arena, but now that it's the first show makes it a no brainer.
gunsfanoldie
OK, so I don't have a Citicard, but I waited in the line and by the time it was my turn they had crossed off GA. I guess other seats were available, but that was as far as I got since I didn't have the Citicard password. I wonder if any GAs were onsale for that.
