I remember a time when everyone said there was a 0% chance GNR would ever reunite. And that was pretty logical, given what Axl had said.

So I don't see how anyone can say we'll never get a new album out of the reunited line-up. There's far more evidence to point towards it happening eventually than it never happening.

I think 2018 at the earliest though. NITLT will run through 2017, and then they need to sit down and decide if they want to keep the juggernaut going. The best way of getting people to come and see them again, and keep themselves relevant, is to release new material.

We just got a live DVD from them. And you can watch clips from every show on YouTube. Thousands of them. 

I've owned Appetite since 1988. Pretty much everybody out there already owns Appetite. 

A new album is the most reasonable idea.

I think Axl used the best ideas, what fits. I look at it like a huge musical puzzle that Axl puts together slowly. Slash can be a part of it if he wants to, just like Axl said.

And Axl doesn't release disposable shit, whatever your opinion on Chinese is. So it's gonna be worth it for me if it ever gets released, and I believe Slash and Duff will play a significant role in it. Axl played them some of it at least, he cares what they think about it or that's how it seems like to me at least. It would be a huge mistake on his part not to incorporate them, and he always includes the latest line up in studio material. From Gilby to Bucket, Bumble, and Frank.

Like I even think Mellisa is gonna do some stuff, it's possible.

What makes GNR so special that they are above making money?

I didn't realize that these were a bunch of starving artists standing up against capitalism. 

I also didn't realize it was illegal to release a greatest hits album if you don't have 5.72 albums worth of material with at least 98.83 percent being original material.

Here's a hint, greatest hits and best of albums aren't aimed at hardcore fans browsing GNR forums at 12:28 eastern standard time. They are aimed at casual fans, soccer moms, 14 year olds who weren't alive when Guns N Roses was cool, and people who haven't figured out that you can just torrent music.

The GNR GH album was one of the most positive moves made for the band whether in the last 15 years. The release of that album combined with VR being in the mainstream at the time and WTTJ being the main song of San Andreas likely bought GNR a whole new segment of fans and helped rejuvenate interest in the band among a certain type of fan.

Anybody who looks at GNR as this super cool rock band who is above  making money is delusional. GNR is a hot topic band. I like their music, but it doesn't change the fact that at this point they are Kiss 2.0 except that Gene Simmons actually puts out CDs and has a daughter I want to bang. The closest thing Axl has to a daughter is his dogs he posts pics of on twitter and I don't really want to bang them.

So much for CD II in 2017! Never mind 2016.

These guys are in no rush. They are on the road throughout next year so we are NOT getting a new record. Even an already finished record. Earliest prediction is still 2018 with the small possibility of one song late in 2017 as some sort of bonus, but I figure they'll hold off any new material until they are ready for a new record (to maximise excitement) IF they intend on releasing anything... And It is an if at this point.

I just like you here don't know the current situation in the band, but the guy I quoted is CLOSE to the band, he is a well known musician (Grammy award winner) and has been touring with them one way or another this year. The situation in the band is not Roses.

Everyone in the band is solely there for money. Furthermore, there is still no off stage contact between Axl and the rest, Slash and Duff and the rest. Even Slash and Duff have seperate changing rooms.

You can cry, brag whatever, that is the way the things stand.

Ummm, if this is true then you just literally broke my heart. Why would I spend so much money for a sham. I've seen pictures of Axl, Duff and Slash walking backstage and they are communicating with each other. Who is the source?
