Sosso
I can't understand why some people can praise Axl for his voice in this condition. 2002 / 2006 / 2010 > 2017 (EDIT: 2010 was just seven years ago. Age isn't really an argument for me) Edited December 4, 2017 by Sosso

I know the 2002 voice is preferred by some but I never liked that voice personally. Shame because the 2002 lineup may be the most powerful Guns lineup musically but his voice always made me go “eh...” and makes listening to those boots harder.

Gordon Comstock
I honestly can't tell if people are being sarcastic when they say Better was good... it's pathetic and painful to listen to.
koldweather
Yeah better really isnt all that great. However I really enjoyed Catcher, I kinda found a new liking for it through hearing all the little guitar stuff throughout, and the pace was nice and swift. As for the vocals, it was ok in Catcher and besides the song is more or less clean on the album. Its not too different on this soundboard, maybe just a little more tired. Let me just say the Forum show was every bit as magical and life changing as the first time I heard those guys on the playground 30 years ago. To comment on the "2002 / 2006 / 2010 > 2017 2010 was just seven years ago. Age isn't really an argument for me" business speak for yourself. When I was in 5th grade I could put down a solid 5:15 mile. I may have been faster in subsequent years ,but fuck me if I were to race my 5th grade self today. To hold the band to a historical standard is not only ridiculous, it is not something we could possibly hold ourselves to either. I doubt anyone here is better, faster or stronger than their 1988 self. Yet, somehow these guys are here kicking just as much ass as we remember- even in our mind's eye. The fact that we get to see Slash Duff and Axl on the same stage playing at the top of their game should make all us fans step back and and humbly say thanks to the guys for putting on a show that made us proud to be fans in the first place and become the hard core fans who stuck with them "through all the fucking shit." It hasn't always been easy to be a GNR fan, but Slash, Duff and Axl have gone out every night and proved, against all odds, to everyone who has shit to say that they were wrong and put on the best rock show on the planet- bar none. We should all be proud, as GNR fans, that they are every bit the ass kicking rock band we all believed they could be and more. As I stood in crowd I was just stoked to be there and witness them do what they do best: Melting the faces off of a giant crowd. So thanks guys. Thanks for proving us right. GNR FTW. CHRISSY
We need to appreciate this while it is here, with the personalities involved it could all go south pretty quick. Anyone that hasn't had a chance to see one of these "reunion" shows, should. My cousin was at this show and said the sound quality was excellent. 3

I saw the 2 UYI openers at Alpine Valley when I was 15 and Chicago 92 when I was 16, and never thought I'd ever see it again. I saw many NuGnR shows and enjoyed the hell out of them, but they just weren't the same. I went to 15 shows this tour, and no one up there was perfect but it's 23 years later...no one in their right mind could expect that. However, the magic between the big 3 was back and the shows were fantastic! They were anything but a lazy money grab. I had a smile on my face every minute of every show just like I did back then. I was able to take our 10 year old daughter to 9 shows and it was special to watch her sing some of the songs I did when I was 11 when I wore through more than one Appetite cassette! Seeing the smile on her face at the Staples Center when Axl waved at her and watching her catch Duff's pick when he pointed at her and tossed it was something I'll never forget. I've been to 450+ shows in my life, and these were easily the most special ones I've ever been to! Thanks boys, and girl, and please let's do it again down the road! 4
Popular Post The Archer
This was truly magical - one of the best nights of my life - my last GNR concert was also one of the best nights of my life, but it came the same week my ex-wife (who would never have gone to a GN'R concert) and I split. In the time since then, I found love again, with a girl who would go watch GN'R (finally!) with me, whom I could kiss during sweet child of mine and who is everything and more to me that the lyrics of the song speak of. (On the way back from LA, as part of an extended birthday celebration, we even joined the mile high club). To top it all, Axl and the boys were mind blowing. Magical night. I can now die happy as a gunner fan. 6 1

We’ve seen them 6 or 7 times, and she freaking cries during This I Love because she thinks of her grandma, cries during Don’t Cry because Axl tells her not too, squeezes me during November Rain cuz I’m a November guy and she loves rain, and screams her head off during all the other classic tunes...especially her favorite - Nightrain!! Our slow dance wedding song - yep...Patience ♥️ 2
